How Can I Get Prescribed Subutex Instead Of Suboxone (Page 6)

i get sick everytime i take my dose of suboxone. I throw up everytime. but my doctor will not switch me to the subutex even though it is in my charts that i have yaken the subutex and never got nausiated. what do i need to say or do to get my doctor to understand and switch me? i also have severe intestinal problems that get aggravated with the suboxone, what can i do. i do not want to quit treatment but i cant keep throwing up everyday all day. please someone help me.

Instead of taking the hole thing try cutting a little bit of your strip it sounds like your taking to much one strip well last me three day's hope my info was a help

Subutex is buprenorphine which stops opiate withdrawals. Naloxone is what blocks opiate reseptors.

Haha yep same here was on tex forever until law changed in Tn, I stay sick on box that's why I was on tex in the 1st place but the DE-A got the docs Trippin Now over b-s, because Naloxone dont do anything but block the Buprenorphine and make people sick that's sensitive to it, it don't block anything it's the Burp that does all that that's in both of them smh it's a so miss understood D. peeps can I-v both lol . it don't matter tho they don't care unless you can get a certified test that THEY determine that your allergic to it or not, NOT WHAT YOU GOT TO SAY or how you feel. Only that and pregnant women can get it. I'm sure they outlaw subox, because they catch so many peeps with it on the street and think that's what there really using when there only using it when they don't have h and sick. I'm so tired of this subject I been off 6 years and I think I might just go back to it over this, and that's crazy man, but whatever we dont have no voice where jus Js to them

Yep they ain't going without Proof even b4 the law changed here in Tn I went thru 6 docs to get on tex I started on tex but doc don't like the xans wit it, and I know sooooo dangerous wooooo imma scared, yu-ck em and sub is just as bad as methadone actually it's worse on W-Ds it takes longer to get sub out Your system I been on both for years each I know and would take methadone over sub any day if I could pay for it. And about go to a pain doc lol they ain't gonna give you nothing but laugh, my back is so messed with MRIs all the scans scoliosis with 10 car wrecks and I gotta go to addition doc jus to get something so I half get out the bed in the morn, they won't have Ya after rehab and they say the records are confidential but Naw they're not. So you jus F-ed unless you hit up some clinic good luck on the dead-end road

All of you junkies just want subutex so you can abuse it. What a crock. Suboxone makes me sick blah blah blah. Whatever. Drs are starting to not give it because of the high abuse potential. Heck you'd iv a ham sandwich if it got you high

I don't understand why anyone wants subutexYou can't take other opiates with it eitherI know they say you can and people believe it but its simply not true I know from personal experience.. I mean you can take opiates while taking subutex but they won't work for painIt is all in their head.

I agree with you on taking methadone insteadI didn't have as many side effects on the dones And it took away all my painI got myself off methadone with no help from anyone but GodAnd lots of exercise. However four years ago I had a chill they had me on percocet d at the age of almost 40. 3 months later I had a surgery on my shoulder and I had 2 more surgeries that same year they had me on percocet. And when it was time to come off of them I honestly thought it would be easy cuz I was taking them responsibly, wrong. Right back where I ended up. He referred me to a suboxone doctor. I've been on them ever since and all they care about is money. Worst thing he could have done for me, I hate these things but hate withdrawals more. I know I can get off of methadone as I've done it before but I can't find anywhere around that has that program. Unless I want to drive 2 hours everyday to get a dose. It really does suck and I'm not taking much Suboxone as I wasn't off of them so bad. I don't remember nothing and making you feel tired and taking away my libido. I just hope I can keep decreasing and jump off of them without terrible withdrawals. I'd rather deal with my pain than be on Suboxone and that's saying a lot cause I have joint pain so bad I don't hardly sleepAlong with having a 4 year old to take care of at the age of 43.

I would rather be put back on methadone and wean myself down like before As I already know I can do it. And one other thing. All the suboxone doctors have a fit if you take any kind of benzodiazepines. I am not on them regularly, but I do suffer from anxiety from time to time and if I need to take one of my xanax I should be able to. They were never my problem drug. I can't stand them but when I have anxiety attacks they work. All these doctors don't know s*** because they've never experienced Any of it themselves. Vicious cycle.

No that's not true if u tell them u get bad headaches and get sick from the suboxone. My sub doc knows the naloxone makes me sick and she said she don't prescribe buprenorphine without the naloxone in it. Even if ur pregnant she said. I have been on it 4 weeks now. All doctors don't give subutex for no reason. And my doctor is one of them.

Naloxone only stops u from administering the drug intravenously and abusing it. Buprenorphine is the blocker. I've done a lot of research and spoken to several doctors. Basically naloxone is there for no reason other than to stop iv use. Buprenorphine does it all. So there's really no purpose. Naloxone is short lived only one hour. Buprenorphine has higher affinity then naloxone. I'm on the suboxone films and the naloxone makes me sick. I don't have history of abusing any drug. My drug of choice was pain pills and I took them orally. But yea buprenorphine on its own will block. I tried it before with subutex then 4 hours later from 40mg of oxys and did not feel nothing. Google about suboxone and the naloxone in it and u will see. God bless.

The naloxone in suboxone makes me sick. Been in the program 4 weeks now and my primary doctor and suboxone doctor confirms its the naloxone making me have bad sad effects but my sub doc said she don't prescribe buprenorphine without the naloxone in it. She don't do subutex even for pregnant women. Idk where else to go. Don't have a car and few places accepts Medicaid and those places I called also say they don't do subutex.

Idk y my doc won't prescribe subutex to no one! I'm not trying to abuse nothing. Seems like doc would give me a chance being I passed all drug panels. They could even do a pill count and check my body for needle marks. I'm horrified of needles and would not want nothing in my nose! No one wants to give subutex. I want it for the right reason. Suboxone makes me vomit, nausea, headaches, itch til I get marks every where, bad stomach pain, diaherra, restlessness, trouble concentrating, burns my mouth etc.. And my doc said yes it's the naloxone making these symptoms happen but we only prescribe buprenorphine with naloxone. So I'm stuck.

So does the suboxone films with the naloxone in it. I take my subs under my tongue and get sick as a dog with so many side effects and doctor said its the naloxone making me sick but she don't prescribe plain buprenorphine, not even for pregnant women. Naloxone is short lived by a hour from what I read and from what my doctor told me. Subutex and suboxone both r abused. But good ppl like me that wants to stay clean with no high can't get subutex if they get sick from it. I use to take the whole 8mg subutex tab under my tongue with zero side effects!

That's true the subutex will block other opiates. I tried it as well and felt no effects from the oxys. Doctors needs to try subutex on ppl like me that has bad reactions to naloxone and does not have a history of drug abuse. I always take my pain pills orally. I just don't want to go back to pain pills because this suboxone makes me sick and I can't take it. Even lowering my my dose makes me sick.

I don't abuse drugs and never have. Don't even have a history of it. My only drug of choice was pain pills and I use to take them orally only! Don't get on here calling ppl junkies. Alot of ppl does get sick from the naloxone. Ppl can abuse suboxone films too! I've seen it done with my own eyes. They r ex friends now cause I don't talk or hang out with ppl that do drugs. I'm starting a new life and I'm a great person that wants to get better, not high! Subutex never and I mean never made me high. I just felt normal. It's not nice to judge. God don't like ugly. I'm busting my butt to get better and haven't taken pain pills since I've been on the suboxone program. Even tho I get headaches and sick daily I haven't touched nothing but the strips. My sub doc and my primary doctor both said the naloxone was not agreeing with me but my doc don't prescribe subutex. They can do drug panels and pills counts and check my body for needle marks and won't find any. Never touched a needle in my life. Yes some ppl wants subutex to abuse but their r ppl like me that don't want to abuse. Just wants to get better without getting sick. I'm serious about my recovery and really dedicated to it.
