Horrendous Ssri - Getting Off It Immediately.

I am so glad I found this forum, as I see I'm not the only one experiencing terrifying sleep paralysis, amongst other side effects. I have been on 20mg for about five weeks now, and am calling my doctor first thing in the morning to get off this medication immediately. Aside from three full weeks of heavy side effects (GI issues, increased Depression [I've never even had Depression!], vertigo, nausea, etc... I am now experiencing sleep paralysis, auditory hallucinations, irrational thoughts, nightmares and increased anxiety because of the sleep paralysis.
I have suffered from GAD, and Panic Disorder for 15 years, and have been on various SSRI's/Benzodiazepines, and can assure you I have never, ever been this terrified of a medication in my life, nor have I EVER had such irrational thoughts in my life. As I'm writing this, I plan on staying up the whole night, until I can speak with my doctor, as I'm truly petrified of attempting to sleep because of the hallucinations and sleep paralysis.
Needless to say, this drug should *not* be on the market whatsoever, and I am angry at myself for trying an SSRI that is so new -- without proper long-term documentation of potentially devastating side effects. I'm so sorry any of us have had to experience this, and I seriously question if I ever want to try another medication for my Anxiety again.

how do you cross taper vibryd to prozac. do not like side effects of vibryd.
Yes, this is kind of an iffy medication to try, some people do very well with it and some do not, but that is true of every other medication on the market, not just this one. Thus, it can't really be said that it shouldn't be on the market, just because it caused you and a few other people to have bad experiences.
The percentage of people that have problems is actually very small compared to those that don't.
Learn more Viibryd details here.
Just as an example, I had a very bad reaction to a sulfa based antibiotic 2 months ago, but this happens to only around 3% of the people that take it, which means that it works very well for about 97%.
Did you call your doctor? Are they helping you stop it?
