High Ph

Dr (Indonesia) gave my wife tablets for a high PH (14) back, side and stomach pains.

Alodan 300 Allopurinol,
Diclofenac sodium,
Mionalgin, &
Omeprazole 20 mg.

Assume high Alkaline level, respiratory? as difficulty breathing at night.

Indonesian female 43, has had problem quite a while now. 50kgs, maybe 10-15kgs overweight for height (5ft)

My wife uses a lot of a massage oil MinYak Unut, maybe 2 or 3 times daily for quite some time to ease the pains. Ingredients

Methyl Salicylate 353 mg.
Eucalyptus oil 182 mg
Nutmeg oil 72 mg
Citronella oil 40 mg

Problem for a while now, a lot of Balinese massage and use this oil for just about everything. Looking at one of the causes of Respiratory Alkalosis I note "Saticylate poisoning" and on further research I find Methyl Salicylate (Wintergreen) a major factor.
Could excessive massage with the oil above containing quite a lot of Methyl Salicylate, be a possible cause. I have told her to stop using this oil?

Your opinions would be appreciated. medical care in Indonesia is good for minor ailments but for more difficult symptoms well!

Kind regards ExpatInIndo
