High Blood Pressure Medicine Changed (Top voted first)

I am on the Ciplavasc 5 mg tablet for high blood pressure, but this month they gave me Austell Amlodipine. I'm scared to take it. I just want to know if it's the same type of tablet or is it different?

They both contain the same active ingredient, Amlodipine, they have just been manufactured by different companies.

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

Is there anything else I can help with?

6 months ago my blood pressure was 150/100+-. Now after 6 months my blood pressure is at 130/90. Can I stop taking medicine? My age is 47 and I'm a male from India. My weight is 63+- kgs and my height is 5 feet 6 inches. Please advise.

I am 46 yrs old. I was operated on, on March 27th, 2018. TAHBSO removal of ovary, uterus and my myoma with blood transfusion. Now i still take Hormonal Treatment (Tibolone) and have been for almost 2 months. But now, i was observed and monitored my Blood Pressure which is high. It's always high especially in the afternoon with a reading of 130/90 to 140/100 even after taking my medicine for hypertension (Telmisartan) and Atorvastatin 20mg. Do i need to stop my hormonal treatment? What would be the best course of action that i can take?
