Heroin 4-5 Hrs After Suboxone?? (Page 3) (Top voted first)

Any1 know if it's okay to take heroin say 4-5 hrs AFTER having taken my first dose - 6 decidedly inadequate mgs - of suboxone?

I get your issue. I am a gastric by-pass and extended release doesn't work for us and NSAIS are also out of the question. I know that you know your addicted to opiates its what happens to anyone that has that much pain meds. Most people hat aren't addicted can use tylonal for any pain. My mother in law had a 25 min seizure and ended up not hynicated a disc but actual fracture of a disc. other words broken back. she had to wear a turtle shell made out of had plastic for a braise while she healed. She only took tylonal occationally at night for the pain. So once you are addicted to opiates if you stubbed your toe and say my mother in law did too you would be in more pain than her. It sucks but that's how it works. So my suggestion to you, is no more opiates unless it is a near death situation because if say you ever do have a near death experience and you stay on opiates or subs you will not be able to get your pain under control at the hospital. I have been there, I was on subs and got into a car accident were they had to cut me out of my car with the jaws of life. I was in so much pain I lost consienceness. They couldn't give me anything because I was on subs. It totally sucks that because of medical surgeries we got addicted to opiates and we basically have to suffer now. I am working to get off subs and be good about not trying to get some off the street. I know that it is best for me and my family and by body to keep that poison out of my body. My husb has only gotten a script once for hynia surgery and he didn't even want to fill the script which made me happy cause I used it. So you know deep down in your stomach what you need to do, you don't need us addicts telling you what to do. hope that helps

I know FROM EXPERIENCE you only get sick if you take a sub with opiates still in your system. Like, taking sub hours after a bag, sick sick sick. I've been on subs,prescribed, for years. Be careful :)

I posted just around Christmas and have been clean since the 26th no subs no opiates and yes still i still feel like garbage. But I have sum useful information considering this questions thread. If you are taking any subs do not, REPEAT do not waste your time trying to feel high. the sub will block any good feeling you are looking for. I took 8mg subs for about 3 days straight, super long half life on these which makes it hard for a day after even. didn't feel high till the second day off the sub. And it wasn't what I was looking for. So doing any dope hours after taking a sub is just wasteful. I decided after putting myself threw precip withdrawal by taking the sub too soon. Terrible but has put me in a mindset of never wanting to feel this again. Trust me wait till u are kicking at least to the point of your mild withdrawals. Or u will suffer the worst withdrawal you wouldn't wish your enemies would experience.

Hey wondering if anyone can help. I have been on subutex a couple of times and for anyone who doubts that they will feel withdrawal after taking subs too soon after gear is crazy. I have wished myself dead many occasions being up and constantly clucking for days ( with 2 teenage boys to look after) until the effects of the sub have worn off. No matter how much gear you take within those first 24 hours you will not feel any better due to the blocker effect and the only reason you may is if it's more a case of mind over matter that you can feel the gear making you better. I take 8 mls daily and yesterday was my first dose on this particular script. Foolishly today I have used a bag which has had no effect but now worrying about tomorrow's dose. I am presuming I will be ok due to the blocking effect of the suby having no effect but as this gear is still running through my body will the same apply. I have work which is physical and can not go there rattling. Pls help.

Reason this works for u but not all ppl is because there is always a bit of the sub still on ur receptors...it never fully leaves ur system, go over 2weeks with no subs then try to make switch that close and you'll be in utter hell

I usually take 16mg of subutex. I have done h while on it. When the sub is taken intravenously it takes about 16-24 hours to get full effect again. It didn't matter if I took 8mg or 32 mg. it still took/takes same amount of time to get the full agonist effects again.

The sub's might block the effects. It has a long half life but I have read that depending on the amount (mg's) of sub you took will also have an effect on the ability for the heroin to break through the sub "ceiling". I read that on average the heroin will break through and you should get some relief.

Thats not true at all besides the fact about precipitated withdrawl...if u take a fair amt of subs, it doesnt fill all the receptors but does stay in your system for a while...doing some h shortly after gets rid of remaining withdrawl and you will feel much better each day, especially if you came off a long habit of h... in other words do the smallest tollerable amt of sub, and reduce your used amt of h esvh time about two to three hours after sub...pretty soon it will be strictly sub with no h after it, and if your on a small enough dose of sub, you can ween down to nothing safely....start with 1mg and take another one mg every half hour if u do not feel better, then a little h hours later to get rid of the hairy wds....youll be fine...i did it myself just like this and now i went from a gram a day habit to no h and 1mg sub in the morning and 1mg at nite.....gl

I think we have all played this game a few times before if we have come to the point of reading and posting to online forums. I ve been trying to finally kick this little H habit off my back using 8mg subs daily. I used to take about $100 worth of weak h around five times per week. Every morning that I wake up and take my strips I do fine. May have some cravings but I just remind myself that it's a waste of time and money to call my guy bc I won't get high. That's all well enough but one of my main problems is actually taking the sub strips. Bc I know that if I don't take them I can get high. From my experience doing H or oxy later the same day as taking subs is pretty much a complete waste. Even doing it the next morning I don't feel much of anything. So I use the subs as a mental reminder of the waste of doing H and a little help in the will power dept. so far so good. I've slipped up a few times no doubt, by not taking the subs and planning a day to get high. But In reality that high only lasts at best a couple hours and then we are all back where we started. Wanting more dope and a little lighter in the pocket. A heroin habit makes you put other expenses in perspective $100 a day on dope is $36,500 a year for something you can't drive, live in, wear, or even hold in your hands (because it's all up your nose or in your vein). Subs really are a miracle if you use them right and you actually want to be clean. That last part is the trickiest though. Be honest with yourself. Do you want to be clean or not? No meds or therapy can save you from you.

Side note: heard a news story yesterday about cracking down on pill mills and the unexpected result of old patients becoming junkies. No s*** government you let them produce pharmaceutical dope and spread it around then cut people off and think they won't find H? They should have an amnesty program for ppl who had oc scripts and are struggling to get clean I mean wtf? I know I'm luck bc I'm stronger than most but I do feel sympathy for people that got in too deep and can't climb out.

He's using heroin and lying to you. Heroin is the devil. And sub is not. There is no cure for the urges. Except the subs. Suboxone is probably the best. If he really wants off for life.

Yes it will for sure show up on a drug test. This is because you are still putting the substance in your body and you liver will still have to process and metabolize the H. Thus the metabolite will still be present in ur urine producing a positive result for H and the Buperenorphine from the suboxen u also put in your system. Hope that helps

The naltrexone in subutex is a blocker yes but subutex is the main blocker on its own they put naltrexone in it to make it impossible to cook up an bang up/inject...not to act as a blocker....the blocker is subutex its self!! Even though subutex is a strong opiate it is also a strong blocker of opiate because it binds to the opiate receptors so tightly that anything you take on top of subutex will not bind to your receptors it will not work at all also it binds so tightly that if you are still on h when you take subutex it will kick the h off your receptors an throw you into major withdrawal...you need to learn some facts kid, people are so missin formed by idiots on here who think subutex without naloxone/naltrexone doesn't block gear but it does block h Let me be clear subutex on its own without naloxone in it blocks H or any other opiate from working subutex with naloxone was only made to stop people from injecting it because it f***s up the cooking up process. I was one of the first people to be put on subutex back when they didn't make suboxone(subutex with naltrexone in it), subutex has always blocked opiate use on top even before naloxone/naltrexone was added, naltrexone/naloxone was only added in the beginning to stop people injecting it, back wen they introduced suboxone with naloxone/naltrexone in it we didn't get told about it having naloxone in it we were just told its uninjectable subutex by the doctor's, these days people have it all mixed up an wrong making idiots withdraw bad because they were told by some idiot who's never taken subutex or suboxone that subutex is fine to use on coz it doesn't have naloxone init well that's completely wrong.people use heroin then take a subutex on top thinking they will be fine coz it has no naloxone in it only to find out that they just made a big mistake and are going to cluck like a muthaf*** an nothing will stop it coz the sub they just took will now block anything they take to stop clucking, meaning your gonna have to ride it out.....so lol in answer to your question ...NO you cannot get high now subutex blocks opiates because its such a strong binding opiate its self get it....!!!!

I read through this forum to see if heroin can be felt 5 to 6 hourz after taking suboxone. From experience my girlfriend & I have had, if you take 4mgs or more of the sublingual suboxone, it will be very hard to feel anythin at all no matter how much you take. But taking roughly 2 mgs or less of suboxone & waiting about 5 or 6 hrs, then doing heroin, you WILL feel it for sure just as if you never took the sub, but it will be just a little less effective. So all in all, like I said "from experience" if you do 2mg of sub, you can feel H several hours after, but if you take 4mg or more, youre pretty much s*** out of luck for the next 24hrs. Don't feel ashamed, addicts use drugs, that's what we do. It doesn't go away over night, so relapse is very common, and I jut wanted to say first off, being a heroin user myself, and then getting off usin suboxone, I know what ur going through. Please don't listen to the hype... The only way to shock yourself into painful withdrawls... Is when you go from 'Heroin -to- suboxone' too soon. You need to wait about 20 hours at the earliest, to take your suboxone dose. (I only waited 14 hrs, and I was fine-personal experience, not stay). But to comment on your question....
Going form 'suboxone-to- heroin' the combination will not make you overdose, if you are taking a small amount of heroin. It will not kick u into withdrawls, only the other way around does that. The set back is, the suboxone blocks your opiate receptors, so you probably won't feel the high you normally do. The longer u wait after suboxone dose, the better.

Been taking anywhere from 3-5 30mg oxys for 3 years and ate hydrocodone before that. 3 days ago I ran out. That night I ran out (3 nights ago) I was calling everyone I knew and found a suboxone strip 8mg. I was without oxys for about 10 hours when I got the strip. I took half of the strip right then. This was my first time taking suboxone. I didn't feel anything off of the strip but it stopped my withdraws and curved my oxy cravings. I have severe back problems and it even helped the pain a little. The next morning day 2 I woke up and my back was hurting really bad. I wasn't wanting for pills nor withdrawing... Just in pain. So I took the other half of the strip I had. I felt fine untill 10pm of day two, I was in so much pain I was in tears and had found some pills by then but was scared to take them because it had only been a few hours sense I took the Suboxone. So today is day 3 it's 9 am I took my last piece of suboxone roughly 14 hours ago I was in extreme pain this morning so I decided to take 3 hydrocodone 10mg to try and kill the pain and........ It worked! My back feels much better. After I get my back fixed I plan on going to a clinic and getting some more suboxone to kick this pill habit. Sub is great for withdraws off pills in my opinion.

You will definitely test positive for opiates. Even tho the sub keeps u from feeling heroin's effects, anything u put in your body drug-wise will still show up on a drug test.
