Yes you sound the same as me. I have been taking 10mg for 3.5 weeks now and feel great. I can now sleep peacefully, the first two weeks on it the side effects were not that flash, not being able to sleep at times, sweaty, feeling sick, no appetite, and increased anxiety at times but this all has passed and I feel great. Dont look back just forward!
Citalopram is an SSRi antidepressant, it may cause some drowsiness as a side effect and, as to the stress, it does help some people with some anxiety and similar issues.
Basically, your doctor is allowed to prescribe a medication according to their knowledge and experience of what they've found it will help with.
Learn more Citalopram details here.
When they do that, it's called off-label use and, in such cases, the best thing you can do is to try it and see if it helps you. If it doesn't, then let your doctor know.
Is there anything else I can help with?
