Help With Combined Drugs

Dextroamp Amphet Er 30 mg combined with Zoloft 25 mg for a twelve year old boy with suspected ADHD.
What will the results be?

Hopefully this boy hasn't already taken the combination, as there are potentially dangerous interactions listed between these two medications. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of:

"Talk to your doctor before using sertraline together with amphetamine/dextroamphetamine. Sertraline can increase the effects of amphetamine, and side effects such as jitteriness, nervousness, anxiety, restlessness, and racing thoughts have been reported. Combining these medications can also increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called the serotonin syndrome, which may include symptoms such as confusion, hallucination, seizure, extreme changes in blood pressure, increased heart rate, fever, excessive sweating, shivering or shaking, blurred vision, muscle spasm or stiffness, tremor, incoordination, stomach cramp, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. You should contact your doctor immediately if you experience these symptoms while taking the medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor."

Forgive me if this comes off as rude, but it sounds like a science experiment when you ask "what will the results be on this child?" These medications can and usually do effect everyone differently, but Zoloft is one of those medications that has been on TV for years regarding lawsuits surrounding it's dangerous side effects. Probably not a good first line treatment for a 12 year old kid in my opinion. Have you looked at any other options outside of prescription drugs?
