Updatedanyone having problems after stopping harvoni?
Re: The twins 07 (# 40)
Had the same but I kept taking the tablets until finished 12 weeks. I am now virus free and it worth it??
Re: Joan (# 8)
Hi Joan my insurance would not approve me but there are genetics available in India. I am currently on generic harvoni and have been NON detectable after the first four weeks. Look up BULL Pharmachem, speak to parag jain. I was able to get entire 12 week regimen for under 1000.00, that's less than the price of a single pill in the us.
Re: Chebar (# 4)
My last day Oct 19, 2017, Finished 12 twelve treatment plan. PCR done on blood on 10-20-17 read "no disernable mt. of Hep. C present". Get tested In Jan 2018 / twelve weeks out of finish date. This is the important one to see if any strand remained hidden.. I knew when I started taking Harvoni for Hep C that it takes as long to build up in the blood as it takes to get out of your body. The side effects are the same as being on Harvoni until you have gone 12 weeks - then the shelf life in your blood is 0 .
Re: Fancy77 (# 10)
My condolences on your loss. I've just started my 2nd month on harvoni and I've noticed that I fall asleep during day while watching tv. I had to take early retirement from trucking due to health issues. I've had no side effects from any of the meds I'm taking,,,, and there's a,lot of those. I'm 63 and bored
Re: Verwon (# 1)
Hi, I have recently completed a 24 week course of Harvoni, 6 days out, and experiencing weakness. I am also sleeping probably far too much, although restless for most of the night, I wake with a headache most days and sleep on the chair most of the day, often returning to bed after breakfast and its then I slip into a shallow coma for 2/3 hours. I am fortunate to have accessed the Harvoni on the Australian PBS, after 40 years of hep C, and also able to stay at home during my treatment, I am confident the drug has worked and that these side effects are transient. Good luck and hang in there.
Re: Hepwho (# 5)
I experiencing the same withdrawal symptoms 4 months out. I go from clammy skin to burning up. And the insomnia forget about it. And the muscle aches and chills just came back the past 3 days.
Re: Joe (# 44)
Hey Joe, sounds like you could be stuck up the same creek as me, with only one paddle turning bloody circles mate? You better keep me up to date with yer situation. I've got the time to listen if you've got the beer.
Re: The twins 07 (# 40)
I am troubled you are feeling so unwell. I have just done 24 weeks and hey it's gone. Well at 60 I'm getting wee stiffies in the night again, whoo hoo. I had me a limp laddie there for too long. Hey, I don't have a long half life but it feels great just to show the misses + "hey look at this will yah?"!
Re: Joan (# 8)
I went to my regular medical doctor and he referred me to an infectious disease specialist. She checked me out, I explained that I am disabled with medicare and not able to pay a lot and she sent me to the hospital community health clinic. This sounds complicated but they helped me get financial support from the hospital and medicare working together to make me able to do this. I had the choice to go back to the infectious disease doctor but opted to remain with the clinic. To be in their program I had to talk to a lot of people....dietitian, smoking clinic director, financial person, ect... but they have been so supportive, they even check on me by phone. They explain everything, to me this treatment plan reminds me of the chemotherapy process but you don't get "that" sick. I am tired a lot, have some nausea, some itchiness and my liver aches sometimes, but I am at week 10 of Harvoni and was virus-negative in my blood at 8 weeks. I have had it since 1975, I am 62. My viral load was 3,000,000. I hope you do this, so much off my mind!
YES I am still debilitated 2 years post treatment. Check in with the long term side effects and you will see how many of us are now disabled after Harvoni
Fleming Nolen Jez law firm out of Texas is taking information from those who have long term injuries from Harvoni and Sovaldi. There are hundreds of us and I have talked to many. Feel free to look them up and provide your information.
