Is Methadone completely out of your system in 72 hours, or does it take longer? Since Methadone seems to last longer that 4 - 6 hours, I was just wondering?

Yes u should be fine however in the future don't take it so close to a test you should always give ur body 7-10 days but here's a trick that does work the morning of your test wake up and within a 3 hour period drink 2 gallons of water an pee 3 times before you go wen u take the test it will cover the methadone an you'll pass with flying colors I have 3 friends on probation that do this every week with harder drugs they use

I started on methadone in 2002 for chronic back pain. My highest dose was 120 mg/day. I kicked it cold turkey in May. I also take Lorazepam 15mg. Since I stopped methadone in May, what would happen if I took one 40 mg methadone now? Also, can you have re-occurring periods of loss of memory, doing things you can't remember doing, etc.? I really need an answer.

I stopped methadone in May but took 1 40mg capsule the other day and my family said I was like a drunk person, I didn't know what I was doing or saying...I didn't know anything about my surroundings, they couldn't get me to bed, I started feeding my dogs again at midnight and they had all been fed already....also I fell on the floor....is the Methadone still having side effects....what is wrong with me. I don't consume alcohol ever but my family said it was like being drunk. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I'm really depressed and take Cymbalta also. Can anybody help me?

I AM TAKING A URINE TEST FOR A JOB IN 2 HOURS.I USED 2 10mg TABS YESTERDAY AND HAVE BEEN FLUSHING MY SYSTEM TODAY WITH PURICLEAN-OMNI AND WATER THIS MORNING. CAN I PASS PEE TEST AT 4PM?

Your wrong methadone stays in the urine a lot longer then blood if taken for a long period of time the methadone can stay in urine for weeks and after last dose it will be out of blood in no more then 72 hours due your research before you give someone info that might cause them harm

I have a question but don't know where to put it.I have been on meth for 23yrs.had a very,very bad heroin habit,when we would run out anything would be brought to curb the withdrawals.I am 51yrs. have managed 2 ladies stores in this period then thought it was time to come off,I started being tapered off,got down to 12mgs.and started feeling really really bad.So I started drinking Vodka well to make a long story short.Was doing 40pds+ a day ended up seizuring into the hospital I go 7days in ICU,when I got released i started drinking again.have been to 2 treatment centres.The last one did the trick have been alcohol free for 4.5yrs. but back up to 120mgs.of meth I heard that narcon can be used as a withdrawal from meth...I started at 250mgs meth 23 years ago,made it to 12 mgs and now back up to 120mgs.have you ever heard of narcon being used for withdraw? thank-you susan

It depends on your body most take 3 days. Some it can take 24 hours and some people it can take 7 days. Drink lots of water . Water water water.

Hi, this is Marilyn. I wrote about taking Cymbalta, methadone, trazadone, etc. If you find out anything with your research, could you please let me know. Doctors don't seem to care about me just as long as I take the medications and leave them alone. I took methadone for chronic back pain...never took heroin or any street drugs but that doesn't matter. I stopped taking methadone cold turkey in May 2013 but sometimes I think it is still in my system. I also wonder, could I ever go back on a small dose of it just to relieve some of the pain? They put me on a new drug call Nucynta but it doesn't work as well for pain. Thanks for reading my posts.

I took 2 methadone 10mg 8 to 10 days ago, the doctor said he showed up in my urine test? How long does it take to get out of your system? Will he take my other medicine away from me?

Hi. Im on 18ml methadone daily and am on a plan of a 20% reduction every 4 days. Im gonna go cold turkey when im down to 2ml and if needed use some co-codemal for the last few days. My question is that in six weeks I have a DVLA medical in the UK to hopefully get my driving licence back. One will there be any traces in urine screen ( you are looking at 4 weeks then since last dose of meth) ? And secondly I have to have blood tests for "LFT" , will there be any trace ??? Thanks. Worried :-(

I too have been proscribed methadone at a dosage of 120mg daily, and like you, I can take 240mg and be straight as an arrow.
There are a few tricks I've learned over the years to feel the medicine in my system, but between you and me...I wish I would have went a different route when it came to my pain management. The detox from methadone,to me, is a ridiculous hell.

I took 50 miligrams of liquid methadone on the 15 and 50 more on the 22 was clean bf that and havnt done it since have to take a ua on the 10 it will b 16 days since I took it will I pass r am I screwed plese share advice

I have a chronic back injury and was prescribed 10 mil methadone. When my workers compensation ended the doctor cut me off. I need to know who I need to see about getting a doctor to treat me in my area. I live in Bedford Ohio. I take one 10 milligram methadone pill a day. I don't know where to go or who to talk to. I have chronic back pain but no doctor to treat me and I have to resort to the streets for meds!!!!! Can you help steer me to a doctor in my area? I am on disability.

I took 1 methadone 10mg 3 weeks ago! I have never taken one before an had to drop for my probation officer twice now and its still coming up positive after 3 weeks i had gastric bypass an was wondering if there is a reason im still dirty? I have until monday to hav eclean urine or i go to jail! I dont understand any of this an wanted a second opinion so i went to my doctors office and had a drug test done get the results today!
