Is Methadone completely out of your system in 72 hours, or does it take longer? Since Methadone seems to last longer that 4 - 6 hours, I was just wondering?

From what I know u will not b clean in just a week after u take that many methadones

I just got a job offer and its with a lab company... they do pre employment blood test for drugs. I take methadone(in a treatment program) and xanax when needed my last prescription was in may for 60 1mg tabs is that prescription too old even though I have tabs left? How long does methadone show up for blood test? I am embarassed but I do have proof of methadone maitanance i just would rather if they don't know my business.

I have been on 2.5 mg's of Methadone 3x's daily for a spinal cord injury for about 5yrs now but I stopped taking it abot 72 hrs ago for a possible up coming drug test for employment. When will I be "clear" of the residuals and detox symtoms?

can a dr just drop you off methadone didnt discharge but drop after 7 month 90 mil aday is that legel with out take you off slow

I was on methadone for almost 5 years. I stopped taking it about 3 weeks ago, and I haven't had any withdrawl or sleeping problems. I started taking imodium for the diarrhea, and i took enough to make it stop. Then I learned that imodium, or generic, is an opiate derivative that just cannot cross the brain blood barrier. It stopped all of the physical withdrawl problems, which made the psychological side much easier to deal with. I just took the recommended dose, and doubled it every time it didn't help my diarrhea problem (it eventually did stop it though). Good luck. Oh and dont drink alcohol, or use anti-histamines while trying to quite the stuff they kick the imodium(or any opiod) out of the opiod mu receptors.

Opiates take three days to leave by urine. Most Pain Managements test by urine.

I've come of 50ml a day of methadone in about 5 months,your body gets used to the level your taking after 3-4 days,so a constant regime of small reductions shouldn't be a problem.
If used correctly,and reduced correctly It's no better or worse than other medications.

Started at 50 to80 mgs of methadone per day for one year. In the last two weeks I've gone down to 10 to 30 mgs a day. Took my last 20 mgs on mon the 11, I'm not eating very much do to my withdrawals and can't sleep I have a urine test coming up and I'm not sure the methadone will be out of my system in time. The pills were not in my name I'm considering going to the clinic for a prescription just in case I test positive. But would rather do this on my own I know I can I just don't know if I have enough time. Thanx

Well bless your heart...if u are being honest..then sweet..but..some day the time will come..when there's no choice in the matter..methadone slows your appetite down also..that's the weight loss..the power to get on it is nothing to the power to get off it..everyone's different though..could u handle a 50 MLG dose???. that's small by comparison isn't it..best of luck.can't be on it forever..no ones a marvel character..we are all mortal..not demi gods..lol..best of luck..

I feel for you..but the sad news is methadone is the strongest man made stuff around..it even has its own panel on the 10 panel drug test..its the 9th panel..the seneros easy..24 hrs after whatever dose u took..cut that in half..and every 24hrs.u cut it in half till there's no-more in the senero..the half life of methadone is insane.I hope this helps..if u have a week you'll b OK.

The math is simple....methadone has a 24hr have life..so if u took 30 mlgs of the dose in 24hrs its cut in half..and in 24 hrs. U cut the left over dose number..n.u continue to do so..till there's no number left.but b cautious and drink a lot of herbal teas.the bag kind...everyone's different..good luck...

I was going to a pain management doctor and they had me taking 30 mgs of oxicodone 7 times a day and 15 mgs oxys 5 times a day. soma 3 times a day and 6 xanaxs a day my husband takes methadone. well every morning i get our medicine ready for the day well 3 weeks ago i accidentally mixed my soma with his methadone and i took his by accident and when i went to my dr they did a drug screen and the methadone showed up even though it had been 3 weeks and i only took one so i ended up losing my doctor so now idk what I'm going to do. i don't think its right it was an accident. I'm bipolar and i need my xanax to sleep and i have bad back problems. i don't know how they can just drop you as a patient like that and i don't see how one methadone can stay in your system for 3 weeks its crazy
