Did you mean Guanfacine?

If so, it is a medication that's used to threat hypertension and ADHD, so it does require a doctor's prescription in the U.S.

There are rare instances where it has caused some serious side effects, such as chest pain and shortness of breath, so it's use needs to be monitored by a medical professional.
