Are you referring to a green, round tablet with MYLAN over 184 on one side and the number 40 on the other?

If so, then that answer is that it used for neither of the issues you stated.

It contains 40mgs of Propranolol, which is a beta blocker that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and some cardiac conditions.
