Going Off Cymgen 60

I have been on 1 x Cymgen 60mg and 1 x Noxidm 10mg per day since May 2011. Approx a month ago I started experiencing major memory loss and lack of concentration. I stopped taking the Cymgen altogether and only take a half Noxidem at night otherwise I can not sleep. However, I am experiencing light headedness, chest pains, headaches and serve irritability. Is this perhaps because of leaving the Cymgen "cold turkey"

I stopped taking CymGen 60 a week ago and for the last few days have been feeling like crap - no energy, my eyes don't feel like part of the head, clumsy, sore body, wanting to sleep whenever possible, and pain in my kidneys. I have now started taking it again and wil go and see my Dr. rather than try and do it myself. Oh the joys of medications!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the described symptoms can be caused by going cold turkey off these types of medications, because your body gets used to having these substances and basically has to relearn how to regulate on its own.

It's usually best to taper off of them slowly and, in most cases, that does require medical assistance.

Sharen, chest pain really isn't typical and you should consult your doctor as soon as possible to rule out other possible health issues.
