Glycomet Sr 500mg Side Effects

Hi i am 33 yrs old..My doc advised me to have Glycomet 500mg twice a day as i was dignosed with POS with hish insulin levels...since i have started the med i am having a lot of hair fall...is this the side effect of this med??

Glycomet contains the active ingredient Metformin and yes, it can cause hair loss as a side effect, it's actually sometimes prescribed to treat hirsutism.

Hello My doctor advised me to take Glycomet.
500 mg 3 times a day for 6 months (starting with 1 eventually increasing to 3 in a month) as was detected with PCOS.
please let make me aware the side effects as I am in non medical field I have no idea and also I felt very drowsy after my 1st dose.

I M 32 yrs , i m suffering from diabetes from last 3 month RBS 240 & Fasting 140 , my Dr suggested me to take Glyomet 500sr once a day before breakfast now from last 2 month its fasting 106 can i stop medicine or i shall continue
