Glycomet 250mg Usage

Sir,
Can i use glycomet 250 mg daily.
I am using glycomet 250 gm morning 1/2 tablet & Night 1/2 tablet after food.Please advise me ,it can be used regularily.

Glycomet contains the active ingredient Metformin, it is an oral antidiabetic medication, used to help lower and control blood sugar levels.

I am a 51 yr old male. Have fasting sugar 130 and PP 200. Doctor advised Glucomet 250mg just after dinner. PP sugar still around 200 fasting is now 116. Should the doseage be increased or time of taking tablet be changed?
