What are the benefits and side effects of Glucored Forte?

Glucored Forte actually contains Glyburide + Metformin. This combination is used in the treatment of type II diabetes, to help control blood sugar levels.

As a possible side effect this drug is a major cause of drug induced hypoglycemia, and also may cause cholestasis as a major side effect. The safety of this combination has been questioned.

I had been taking Glucored forte 75 twice a day. for the last 6 months. Recently I found that My legs started swelling and weight also increased and Tummy size also increased. Dr. has changed now to Glucored forte with Volix 0.3 mg.

Is this due to tablet?

I HAVE BEEN TAKING GLUCORED FORTE AS SUPPLEMENT TO TO SITAGLYPTIN FOR ONE YEAR NOW FOR TYPE 2 DIABETES WHICH IS UNDER CONTROL NOW...HAVE SWOLLEN LEGS REGULARLY, WAIST INCREASE... ALL SAME AS URS...HAVE TO TAKE FRUCILAC TO REDUCE IDIMA OF THE LEGS...

I was using New Triglucored Forte with Galvus 50 - I took it for period of 4 months and I quit it for some months but once I got a vaginal infection and checked my diabetes it was 385 mgd so I consulted our doctor and he recommended I continue New Triglucored Forte, but now its banned. So he told me to continue with Glucored Forte instead. Is it safe because my weight increased and swell in calf, legs my bottom part become heavy? Pls do advise.
