Given Cefdinir For Strep

Our Peditrician Rx this for strep throat for my type I diabetic 2 year old. We are on day four and he's been complaining of headaches a few hours after taking it. It's just once a day for a total of 10 days. I called pedi about headache and was told to give with ibuprofen. He awoke with headache again and is now vomiting and has fever again. Very miserable. After reading these side effects people are having I'm very worried of what this could mean for him in long run.
I hear Cdiff is very hard to treat and the first poster sounds like he now has dishydrotic eczema which I actually have after my son and his twin were for and its never gone away. I hope that my toddler doesn't get it now as well from this antibiotic. Geez I hate modern medicine.

Hello, Faith! How is your son doing? I am very sorry about the problems he's having.

Those can all be side effects of this medication, as listed by the FDA, he may also experience non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

As to that type of eczema/dermatitis, there is no way to say for sure.

What other medications is he on?
