Getting On Suboxone?

I was an opiate addict for numerous different years and I went to inpatient and outpatient rehab but they never gave me suboxone. The second I got out of rehab I did more opiates, and I did them for another year or so and I tried suboxone and that is what I stuck with. Well it is getting very expensive and I was not getting myself off it very good and now I am pretty much addicted to that. If I can't find suboxone I usually find another opiate to take. My main question is, if I go to an outpatient rehab, is there anyway I could still get suboxone? I want to get off suboxone and other opiates and I do believe this would be the way to do it. Suboxone withdrawl is rough so any thoughts or anything would be appreciated!

I've been on methadone for two years now and I'm back on opiates again. I desperately need to find a suboxone doctor asap.
I am not sure if it is posted on here or not yet but I have read everything you all have said. I have still been clean for about 4 days now and made my apointment for an out patient treatment program...but they can not see me until MONDAY the 23rd, and if I am still clean I am hoping they don't give me a hard time. But like you guys said I will nail it in there head that I keep thinking about relapsing. I can also tell them that I CANNOT relapse because I just got a management position at my work and I need to keep my life in line :) I thank you guys for all of your help, I will let you know how my appointment goes Monday!
Hi Andy, I agree with Cats, sounds good. Just get it through there heads that you think about using all the time. By the way, I replied to you yesterday and they didn't put my reply through. They probably will after they review it monday. It just says basically what I said in the first place. Drives me nuts when this site does that.
Hi Andy, that's sounds, GREAT! You couldn't have said it better. Get yourself into an out patient suboxone program. Good Luck! Let us know how it goes.
I am planning on going to Northstar Chemical Dependency which is an outpatient program that can prescribe suboxone. I went to them my first time, and they r the ones who sent me to rehab and they wouldn't give me suboxone because it was my first time. If they wont do it there is another outpatient program that does it as well that I could try. In my area there isn't many Dr.'s that prescribe suboxone besides outpatient or inpatient programs. There are a couple of drs that do but they are not accepting new patients which sucks.
I do think suboxone would help me a lot, but I am not sure if they will see it that way. I am afraid if I do tell them about the Suboxone use they will not prescribe me it because they could say I was abusing it. And I have completly stopped everything at the moment, and I am dying :-p and I am not sure if they will have a problem with that as well. I know I will relapse here soon enough!
I was thinking about saying: "I came here about 2 years and you guys sent me to rehab for Opiates. I got out of rehab and came back here for outpatient and I was using the entire time and never told anyone. Once I got out of outpatient I started using heavily again and have been ever since. Whenever I couldn't find Oxy's or Opanas I would use Suboxone. Suboxone seemed to be the only thing that helped me get my mind off from opiates and I do think that would help me get my life together and actually stop all of the drug use. I have stopped using at the moment, but it has only been 2 days and I am already ready to relapse and I am already looking for more money to get stuff. When I used suboxone I never had this urge."
What do you think?
Hi Andy! U would b a good candidate 4 a suboxone program. Either, get yourself into a clinic, or, a suboxone Dr. Like Jolter said," tell them about your drug use." They should b able 2 get u on suboxone.
Hi Andy, I don't know about outpatient places but you could go to a regular dr. that prescribes subs and tell him you take pain pills and when you can't find them you take subs. Tell him you want to get your life together then you can taper off them properly.
Hi Andy, I don't know how the outpatient clinic type places work but if you just go to a doctor who prescribes suboxone and tell him your buying opiates on the street and when you can,t find any you buy subs I don,t see any big problem with that. In fact a lot of people do the sub and pill rollercoaster thing. The suboxone site has a search engine thing that you can put in your area code to find sub drs.
