Getting A Subxone Treatment Plan

I have been taking suboxone for a couple months to get off other opioids. I've not been prescribed it thus far. What do I tell the doctor?

You should be honest with him, that way he knows what's going on and how to handle it as safely as possible for you. I understand it may be embarrassing, but the doctor has already heard far worse from other patients and he's used to dealing with this sort of thing.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
