Generic Suboxone Which Is Better Cvs Or Walgreens (Page 3) (Top voted first)
Updatedwho has been suboxone CVS or walgreens.I know thwy are generic but which is better of the two
Re: chrissy (# 17)
You would have been better off withdrawal wise just quitting the pills. When you come off Suboxone, even after weaning to almost nothing, you’ll still feel like crap for a week. There’s no escaping it. And I believe withdrawals from Suboxone take more like a month than the week that you would suffer through quitting pain pills. Idk, I just wanted to agree with what you wrote and to wish you good luck. The ONLY value I see in Suboxone is for people who have cravings, who are truly addicted. I took it after I was on pain pills for years after an auto accident because I was told I would avoid withdrawals. And I guess I would have if I had kept taking it forever. But gross, no.

Don't know if this thread is still active but i have a question Jeremy. So i started taking the 8/2 strips for last 2 years or more and saw that i could get the generic white pill half moon at walgreens. They are 2 dollars less than the strips so my doc changed my script for me. This is day 2 and they're nothing like the strips. I had to take 3 of the pills today and still don't feel right. I've also tried the peach colored oval ones and those actually were better than the strips. Pretty much the opposite of what affects you. So you think i should give them some time or can i ask my pharmacist if i can get the oval ones? Just like you were saying, these people are nice to me and treat me with respect as i dont bother going all the time getting 7 at time. I usually fill 30 at a time and some months fill all 60 at once. Anyways, I was asking what you think? I know my doc will help and work with me but wondering if i could just deal with the pharmacist? Thank you.

I know this post is dated, but it helped me. I was on subutex before and was only able to take the white ones from Walgreens. Now I have been switched from the strips to the pills and have had problems with the orange. After reading this thread and getting mixed information, I called my local Walgreens and they carry Actavis. It seems that depending on where you live different pharmacies carry different brands. My local CVS carries the orange, for example. Simply call your pharmacy and explain your problem. They were very understanding as many people have problems with different brands of many different medications.
Re: J (# 2)
NO, it has 8mgs of buprenorphine and 2 mgs of Naloxone.
Re: Tomservo (# 48)
Did your pharmacy give you the discount you can get on the strips? I end up paying about 6 dollars a strip after the discount; you must purchase a minimum of 14 to get the discount. I am actually getting 14 for 8mg strips for $80 dollars.
Re: Januaryraindrop (# 41)
In Florida subutex is very hard to get anywhere for some reason.. I used to save a ton of money but knobody carries them anymore
My Walgreens gives me the white circle crescent moon actavis pills, but yesterday when I filled my prescription they gave me the orange hexagon shaped 8N M pills. I've never had problems with the white pills not sure how the orange pills will be for me. I was hoping someone else would have received this kind.
Re: Lea (# 55)
The exact thing happened to me today! I usually go to Walgreens, and they give me the white tabs in the foil pod things, where u punch them out. But today, I got the orange 8N/M, stop signs. I was freaking out when I got home because I don’t know if these will be the same. I’m not hurting, so I hope they work the same ????
I like cvs because I get the orange 8.2 mil .they have given me a couple different kinds the peach no good white ok but orange are for me. I wish they weren't generic but they are. My appinion.
Re: J (# 2)
Dude no....it’s 8mg bupe and 2 naloxone know ur stuff before u give out bad advice to ppl and they overdose or something...thx
Re: Lea (# 55)
Really?? So crazy. I usually get the Amneal orange AN 415 ones but all the pharmacies in my area are out and say they cant seem to get those ones again for some reason AND the white Actavis ones too. We are getting the orange Sun pharma ones though with 970 on them. I wonder if my pharmacy is able to order the ones you are talking about. These Sun oranges are not very good at all in my opinion and not nearly close to the taste of the Amneals I would be open to trying the kind you are talking about though. Any idea who the manufacturer is of the ones you got?
Re: J (# 2)
A 8mg strip has 8mg of buprenorphine and 2 of nalxone thats why its a 8mg strip
Re: J (# 2)
Inaccurate it has 8mg of bup and 2mg of nalox
in my city Walgreens has stop sign shaped Suboxen and CVS dont..Walgreens does not accept hip plus insurance..cvs does!!
Re: Ash (# 4)
Well I have been using CVS for awhile when it comes to all my scripts (antibiotics/migraine) switched from Walgreens because 1 pharmacist was making it clear Suboxone (even thou has turned my life around; finished my BA; every aspect of my life) treated me continually like I was less of a person & made it very difficult to fill!!
Now I have been using CVS & just recently told me they refuse to fill anymore (been doing for over a year) because last year I switched insurance (health first; to blue cross?? : I never use insurance: use my gold x card ; because of course u could have best insurance but they make it so u can not to use) But now in almost Oct I am denied & need to find another place to fill?? But will still take my money for my other scripts ?? Saying if I had my health first (even though I don’t use either) & not Blue Cross the will not fill!!! Makes no sense??
Wow I have seen so many people turn their lives around w Suboxone & the way u r treated is ridiculous & something that can help so many because there is more than an epidemic of COVID but bigger one w substance abuse?? And this could change & SAVE so many lives if they could wake up & see & not make u jump thru hoops & run around like a circus clown to fill??
I continue to take Suboxone due to a bad auto accident & refuse all opiates (for years) due to what happened in my life prior & this only thing that works for my leaky spine & pain!!
I am not a scum bag & nor is anyone trying to turn their lives around!! Sad we are treated that !! And shameful!! When u can only find clinics to help & of course nothing covered by insurance (oh all insurance company say there are Dr that r covered ; nope!!) so very sad & sad to me CVS has now joined that class of pharmacists that r judgy & rude!!
And to think this could be right under their noses in there own homes & hope their family members or children do not get treated same way!!
All of u I salute u that have pulled themselves out of that life & keep it up !! Do not let these people set u back !! Hold yourheads high & be proud cause I know how hard it is & embarrassing it can be when they treat u like u should beg them or u r less for needing this medication?? Crazy !! And we r treated like we r the ignorant ones! Sad very very Sad!!
Only white round 5411 ! There’s another one that’s white and round with a B on it all the rest I cannot stand and I have tried them all they’re trash the rest of them
Re: Taylor (# 3)
Not true. I go to CVS and they give me the orange sublingual tabs. Unless you're talking about the strips? Which I thought all the strips were sublingual.
I definitely have noticed as well as my sister, both of us being on Subutex for years, 8 mg, that the distributor that CVS uses for their generic Subutex seems so much more potent, long-lasting, and overall much more helpful to us both. It just seems like it's a better grade, higher quality generic-made pill, than the generic pill that Walgreen's uses from their distributor.
Re: J (# 2)
They are not the same bc wen I went to walgreen that brand made me relapse bc it don’t work
