I know this post is dated, but it helped me. I was on subutex before and was only able to take the white ones from Walgreens. Now I have been switched from the strips to the pills and have had problems with the orange. After reading this thread and getting mixed information, I called my local Walgreens and they carry Actavis. It seems that depending on where you live different pharmacies carry different brands. My local CVS carries the orange, for example. Simply call your pharmacy and explain your problem. They were very understanding as many people have problems with different brands of many different medications.

Re: jeremy (# 8) Expand Referenced Message

Don't know if this thread is still active but i have a question Jeremy. So i started taking the 8/2 strips for last 2 years or more and saw that i could get the generic white pill half moon at walgreens. They are 2 dollars less than the strips so my doc changed my script for me. This is day 2 and they're nothing like the strips. I had to take 3 of the pills today and still don't feel right. I've also tried the peach colored oval ones and those actually were better than the strips. Pretty much the opposite of what affects you. So you think i should give them some time or can i ask my pharmacist if i can get the oval ones? Just like you were saying, these people are nice to me and treat me with respect as i dont bother going all the time getting 7 at time. I usually fill 30 at a time and some months fill all 60 at once. Anyways, I was asking what you think? I know my doc will help and work with me but wondering if i could just deal with the pharmacist? Thank you.

You would have been better off withdrawal wise just quitting the pills. When you come off Suboxone, even after weaning to almost nothing, you’ll still feel like crap for a week. There’s no escaping it. And I believe withdrawals from Suboxone take more like a month than the week that you would suffer through quitting pain pills. Idk, I just wanted to agree with what you wrote and to wish you good luck. The ONLY value I see in Suboxone is for people who have cravings, who are truly addicted. I took it after I was on pain pills for years after an auto accident because I was told I would avoid withdrawals. And I guess I would have if I had kept taking it forever. But gross, no.

This is not accurate, as most all doctors are now prescribing burpnorphine tablets, as most insurances won't cover films anymore due to the cost. Furthermore, orange tablets imprinted "AN" are terrible and I question the proprietary ingredients as equivalent to films. I would recommend to anyone that they get the white tablets made by Actavis or the ones made by Hi-Tech.

You are very much correct January raindrop, that's what I was trying to tell people that Walgreens have the white and CVS have the orange...by the way I live in the NATI... FYI Cincinnati...

First of all, all of you are incorrect you have it twisted around because Walgreens actually have the white crecent half moons tablets, and CVS have the orange tablets...I've been taking the white tablets with the crecent moons for almost 2 years now and I always go to Walgreens, one time I went to CVS and they carried the orange tablets, I was like no thanks...but I have always wondered which of the two were better, so thank you Jeremy for confirming that the white tablets blow all other tablets away...lol.

Wrong...there are at least 4 different generic Suboxone tablets (buprenorphine/naloxone) currently available. I prefer the orange Amneal's currently available at your local Walgreens.

Walgreens has it. I've been taking it for over a year. It is the best. I think it is better than suboxone.

I've been taking the fairly new pink oval subutex from WallGreens and I must say they work the best for me. I was prescribed 3 8.2 orange Suboxon a day and still felt terrible so my Dr switched me to 3 8mg subutex and I only have to take one a day on most days, I feel normal and just feel like I'm somebody again, while on the Suboxone I felt like crap and was always down.

I'm with you hundred percent. I understand. It's something in your head and mine. I truly want to get better I just hope I have the strength to. I wish you the best i've noticed that if you try not to focus your day around it and try to put it on top of your day it makes it easier. I know easier said than done

I take the 8 mg pill form so yes the pill form is still available

No your wrong. If your prescription says 8/2 mg it means 8mg bupe & 2mg naloxone...I have no idea why you would think they would skimp on the bupe. Lol 8mg is 8mg!

Cvs is better all day they dissolve quicker and the closest to the name brand is effect. It's cheaper for me than Walgreens but different areas have different prices..

I've taken the suboxone pills and strips for a couple of years. Then I was switched to zubsolve, which seemed to work ok, but didn't seem quite as strong. Recently, because of insurance reasons, I was switched to generic bupe. I went to Walgreens because they were the only pharmacy that would consistently have it. It's actavis brand, and it seems so much better in every way than name brand sub.

Due to my chronic pancreatitas, I was on very many pain meds and once I said enough is enough I want my lilfe back my Dr. put me on Subutex. They are both different in many ways. CVS are the white ones and they taste like complete sh*t so I tried Walgreens and they are an orange color and the taste is a lot milder. They also don't make me feel nausea after taking it. That is my personal evaluation so do what is best for your body. Good luck!
