If you have insurance, most companies demand that you be given a generic first, if one is available. So, if this is applicable, then you'll need to inform your doctor of the problem, because they can designate your prescription as 'brand medically necessary', in order to get them to cover the name brand for you, again.
The other alternative, if you're paying for it yourself, is to talk to your pharmacy and ask them to give you the name brand, rather than the generic, though you will have to pay the higher price.

so if the doctor writes no substitution on the perscription they will cover it?IS That you mean??thanks for the reply
The name brand suboxone was discontinued by the greedy manufacturers. My Father had to switch and he said it took a few days to adjust. They just released the generic suboxone a few weeks ago. They're orange. There's also a generic subutex (buprenorphine) that people commonly confuse with generic suboxone. Good luck and God Bless.
