Generic Norco M367 10/325 (Page 14)

Updated

It's no good. I have to take three at a time for 1 hour of pain relief. Anybody else have this problem with M367 - 10/325? Has anyone else noticed that meds from certain manufacturers do not work as well for them?

Barbara, I agree 100%. They make us out to be whiners, complainers or addicts when all we want is consistent pain relief from debilitating health issues. Now that we are no longer allowed to buy medications like this from Canada (via mail) we have to depend on our pharmacies to provide what we need. I stand by Express Scripts for now, until the gov't finds a way to put the brakes on them for distributing the Qualitest brand name because it works too well. Hang in there, Barbara. Although this isn't a political forum, I agree that it is a political issue. Once we get the dems out of the whitehouse, change will come.

Barbara I agree there is a movement against pain medication. However the 500 MG Norco or any pain med , the 500 MG is the Tylenol or APAP .It is not opiate, the pain ingredient. There have been many who suffer from liver disease so cutting back on the APAP is a good thing.

Jasmine, the acetaminophen needs to be in smaller doses than the 500 Barbara mentions. It will kill your liver and affects your kidneys, too. I take 10/350 and it seems fine, but I do worry. Although, I find Aleve works best for my pain as far as over the counter goes and I wish they would make the opiate/Aleve combo. That would be perfect!

Hello Sandy. I too live in your city. I was told point blank by my doctor and my pharmacist that the white norcos are bothering a lot of people's stomachs. People think all these people in different states that do not even know each other are having the same hallucinations. It just makes me laugh. I know for a fact that I was ill when I took the white versus the yellow norcos. I was also backed up by the pharmacist saying the additives have been changed, which is why people feel a difference whether they rarely take meds, or have some dependence from long term use. People are quick to judge. Call people addicts. I have brain tumors, cancer. You know what I take? Norcos 10, because I did not want anything stronger, I did not want to be "high", or be a zombie and I wanted to still model, since I could not practice law. So NIKKI, do not judge anyone's journey. I deal with extreme pain everyday. Your holier than thou post seems like thou protest too much.

LiftingandLipstick, (btw, I love your username) I understand why you take the 10's. Who wants to go through life in a fuzzy haze? You sound like a remarkable woman who has achieved a lot and I feel sad that you are having to fight these tumors. Life can be hell without some pain relief. When I got up this morning, the last thing I wanted to do was get up, I was in so much pain. But I took 2 Norcos and within 5 to 10 minutes I had enough pain relief to get up and go about my day. I never stay in bed vs. getting up... it is just getting harder as time goes on (I am 62). I pray that your continued journey through this life is as pain-free as you can get it. God be with you.

I have to eat something or drink milk with my pills. They are hard on my stomach.
I never had the yellow Norco so I have no idea what the difference is.

I do know that they are stopping the use of 500 mg Tylenol or Acetaminophen. I have never had any pain relief from it not even for a common head ache.

OTC it is hard to find 350 mg of Tylenol. That is going to stop soon. Too many people are having liver and kidney problems.

A person with cancer should be able to receive the pain medication they need. It makes me furious that the doctors have no hearts. They are not going to get into trouble when there is a real need for pain medication. My physician says that no one is going to dictate to him how to treat his patients. Yet he does not give just anyone pain meds.

The test at the morphine they found in sunken ships hundred years later and the effect have not changed at all, in other words, opiates do not expire

Yes I don't take 3 or I run out and suffer. I got some help with ultram or tramadol. I take those in between. My problem is I have to use the VA Clinic. I don't care what they say, I go to a clinic that has to hand write a ten day supply and it's name brand different pills and work much better than the crap I get in the mail if I get it at all. My meds were mailed on 1/07/2016, still don't have them, been out. Was given five day supply and my script was going to be on call at the hospital. I went broke. 2 hour drive and it was mailed from Nashville again when it was supposed to be held in Houston. I am sick of it. I am going to beg for money to see a pill mill doctor and maybe I can go back to work. The veterans think we're rich and do all this running spending we don't have. They have screwed up passing off high doses of narcotics and we pay for it. With MRI proof, xray and others and we're the addicts. I'm tired of it.

We are all just trying to get some quality of life. With chronic conditions and cancers, we all need to have adequate pain relief and not be treated like addicts. No one, not doctors, law makers or anyone out there wants to take up this cause due to the stigma associated with a few people that have ruined it for the rest of us. No one should suffer due to others concerned about pain management and whether one will become addicted or not. We need to be more humane and empathetic to others pain and again not be okay with people suffering. Lawmakers always get it wrong in response to a problem, heck, I have allergies and can hardly get Sudafed without being treated like a Methamphetamine manufacturer. I have to show my license and can only buy so much per month, that is insane. Now many people are turning to illicit drugs due to it being cheaper and easier to get than narcotics, now someone tell me how is that good for anyone??

Ronin, exactly. You stated the problem right on the money. I have to go pick up my script today and send it off to mail order pharmacy and pray they can process it before I run out. Take care.

I had the same problem my first time on Norco 10/325 was the yellow ones they were awesome. Now went to fill again and got the white ones not as great. Would love to know if there is any difference, because the dose is the same for both pills. Just don't like the idea of swallowing more pills where before 1 did the trick.

Unfortunately all the manufacture companies are going towards the generic brand which don't work at all you have to double dose on the white ones which really sucks but it still works just not as good

Qualitest generic Norco is what was recommended by my pharmacist. They are the yellow pills and they work very well. 2 ever 4 hours works for me. I have found that if you call a pharmacy to ask the brand name of the generic they carry for Norco, they will usually not answer. The repeated response I got when I asked was to come in and show them the written prescription before they will answer that question. Frustrating beyond belief.
