Generic Norco M367 10/325 (Page 13)
UpdatedIt's no good. I have to take three at a time for 1 hour of pain relief. Anybody else have this problem with M367 - 10/325? Has anyone else noticed that meds from certain manufacturers do not work as well for them?
All generic hydrocodone drugs are allowed to have a variance of 2 mg. either way (on the 10 mg. that is) a 20% variance on all hydrocodone drugs. You can be getting anywhere from 8 mg. of hydrocodone to 12 mg. of hydrocodone in each pill. If you have just got a bunch for a while that is 12 mg., and the next ones you get are only 8 mg., you will definitely feel the difference. I know this because my daughter is a Pharmacist, (Pharm D.), and have read about it also on websites. I don't know why generic manufacturers are allowed that big of variance, I could see a milligram or something, but it makes a big difference to people in pain. I also don't know if this is just with pain medications, I think it is because other medicines, insulin and things like that would definitely have to be more precise. That goes to show that they really do not care if someone is getting the proper dosage of pain medication or not. These generic drugs that are suppose to be 10 mg. are probably no more than 8 mg. if that!
JoAnn, it's a shame that is allowed. My drug store told me they didn't carry name brand norco. I would rather spend more money to get the real thing. Ask your daughter how one goes about ordering the brand names and not generics.
She works for CVS and Corporate makes all decisions as to what generic brand they carry. Unfortunately, the cheaper they are, the more profit for CVS, Walgreens, etc. They carry the cheap white ones too. I will ask her if they order special requests for good customers that they know are having a lot of pain issues. She says one pharmacist there turns away a lot of people that are seriously in pain. My daughter seems to give them the benefit of the doubt. She says they loose good customers that way when the Pharmacist wants to play pain pill police a little too much. Some of it is their job and their license is riding on it, but some of the Pharmacists take it way too far. Anyway I will ask her and post back with an answer.
Our CVS refused to take a valid written prescription. Now it is the holiday season and my husband went into CVS and there was one girl working alone in a large store. He worried about her safety.
The woman pharmacist is very nasty. Most people need drugs of some kind and when you have a woman who hates her job and hates people it kills business. My husband only went there for one thing that Walgreen's was out of. Other than that we do not shop there any more.
Walgreen's has been very nice to deal with but they only carry Activis . I have to accept that.
Yes i have the same problem the yellow ones really seem too help a lot
iIf it is after peak hours later at night, all they have is the one lone pharmacist at most CVS stores, not even a tech to help. They have cut back so much that where my daughter works fills around 500+ prescriptions daily, but you need 650+ to warrant another pharmacist. So they are just on the edge and it keeps them crazy busy, they do get up to 4 techs per peak hour shift, but some are new and not very helpful. I don't think it is that they hate their jobs so much, it is corporate putting so much on them and they have to be careful because if they make a mistake and kill someone, their careers are over!
If they are new (the older they get the worse they are) it is the same make up of active ingredients. The fillers go right through your system. ALL in your head. Also pay attention to when you take them, alot of factors can change the efficacy. Best way to test is take one right when you get up with totally empty stomach. Then do the same with your brand of choice, you will see, same effectiveness.
Those make me sick also I am allergic to the dye in them I can't take them. You should ask the pharmacy to order you the white ones they will special order them for you
I have chronic pain. Bought white oblong has 170 on it....told it was vicodan and mixed in with white Watson 853... 170 didn't help my pain
What store did u go too
Fill it medicine at
What color the the m367 because the was I get are weak
Yes! They are not waiting at the pharmacy for. I told my doctor they didn't work and was running out BC of having to take so many at one time. I now get percocets 10/325mg. They work much much better!
Sandy
Those are two completely different drugs. Norco 10/325 are hydrocodon-Acetaminophn. I don't use percocet as they don't seem to work well for me.
The white norco that look like an 800 MG of motrin is not percocet. Those things don't work and the manufacturer's ingredients is not the same as the Watson brand. But it all comes down to money. The yellow are more expensive and the whites are not.
That's not true for alot of people.
My Norco 10/325 white pills by Activis are working for me. Percocet is morphine.
I know because years ago I was given a triplicate script for Percodan when I had very severe migraines.
The Norco is weaker than Percocet. You can look it up on line.
Jasmine
Norco is hydrocodon-Acetaminophen
Percocet is Oxycodone-Acetaminophen
Oxycodone is stronger than Hydrocodone
Norco, Percocet and Morphine are all opioids. 5yrs ago I went to the emergency room of my hospital in great pain. The doctor asked me if I was allergic to Morphine and I told him no. He shot me with Morphine and within a few minutes I felt no pain at all. I can see why they use this drug on the battlefield as it works so quick. Norco works great for me and with less side effects. Many prefer Percocet but I find they zap all my energy for hours on end.
We can all thank our government for this BS. They have been trying to destroy the pain med industry for the past 4 to 5 yrs.... Thanks Obama...anyway when they went from the 10/500 its been down hill every since. These weak pill are so bad they are resulting in my life of being nothing but lying in bed or on the couch because I hurt so bad everyday.
