I have been taking gabapentin for almost 2 months now. My doctor gave it to me for migrain head aches, restless leg syndrome and anxiety. I take 300 mg at bedtime every night. About an hour after I wake up in the morning I'm very sick to my stomach which sometimes lasts all day long. I also can not keep my legs still. I bounce them all day. About 3 hours before I go to bed I get very irritated. Once I take my night dose it all goes away. Could this be from the gabapentin? Have been on Gabapentin for a year. Built up to 3200 a day for osteoarthritis in my feet. Decided to get off as it wasn't doing much for pain. My doctor brought me down to fast from 3200 to 1600 to 800 in 10 days. Now having stomach issues, anxiety, trouble sleeping, tightness in my chest. Been off of it for 8 days now. Hi Hope you can help I was just put on Epleptin and Synaleve for bad shoulder pain that started about a month ago, I am told that the pain stems from the nerves in my spine.( hard to understand how it can make my shoulder pain ) to me it feels like its something in my shoulder that needs fixing - but who am I to argue . CanI take Amitriptylene if I am taking Gabapentin and Clonidine ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? Only if your doctor has specifically told you to do so. Amitriptyline can reduce the efficacy of the Clonidine, so you may need its dosage to be adjusted. Have no idea what this is found in teenagers room! ## It is Gabapentin 600 mg. It is often prescribed for nerve pain. It is Not an opiate. It is also prescribed for anxiety and insomina among other things. You must have a prescription to obtain it. ## There was also a white round pill with 357 imprint on one side? Any ideas? ## putt , is the pill round or oblong ? If it is white oblong and has M 357 on it, it is Hydrocodone 5 mg/Acetaminophen 500 mg. I wasn't able to find just 357 on a white round tablet. Someone else may have better luck.

I take Gabapentin 600mg 3 x a day & its not getting me thru the night(I am taking 3 advil 200mg once around 10pm & during the night as well) Am I at the limit for gabapentin or is there something else that might help me? ## Hello, Alan! I've been on gabapentin for 5 months at a dose of 500 mg per day. (2 x 100mg am, 2 x 100mg at 2pm and 1 x 100mg at bedtime) Started weaning off on the 9th of December by 100mg every 5-6 days but was too fast and now I have horrible anxiety, pressure in head, dread, restlessness,gi disturbances, etc I realize that I am sensitive and must taper more slowly. I started back on taking 100 mg 3x per day but the symptoms aren't subsiding yet (it has been a day) how long can I expect for my brain to recalibrate and for things to settle down? I would like to know if this capsule orange D 04 gabapentin 400 mg has beads inside of it? ## Since there's no way for anyone to see through a solid capsule, the only way to find out is by opening it up. However, if you're inquiring about this for the purpose of lowering your dosage (by removing potential beads) I would just encourage you to ask your doctor for a lower strength. Opening up the capsule only to find powder inside would probably be a waste of a pill being that they're probably quite difficult to put back together without losing a portion of the contents. ive been taking gabapentin for about 5 weeks. i have built up the dosage from 1 *300mg tablet per day up to 5 tablets a day.(and rising). Im concerned the gabapentin will become less effective as I build up my dosage. Compared to other tablets ive taken they have been quite effective with less side effects. tried to have a "day off" from them and it didnt go so well. Pain management tablets is likely to be a long term requirement as i have no diagnosis. Since I started taking gabapentin 300mg 3 times a day. for neuropathic pain in the spine last December I have put on One stone in weight, I have watched my diet carefully but the weight still went on. It helps ease the pain but I can not afford to keep putting on weight..Any suggestions ## Unfortunately, that is a known side effect of Gabapentin, as reported by the FDA. It can also cause others, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and mood swings. You may want to ask your doctor about possibly trying Pregabalin, it is a similar medication, but may not cause you the problem with weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am 73 and have been diagnosed with disc prolapse stenosis L1-L5. I had severe sciatica some 30 yrs ago and was treated with Ayrvedic Thailams and it was controlled. Is 300mg, two capsules three times a day plus 50mg, one in morn & two at night plus1500mg keppra morn & 1500 keppra night, per day to much medication to be on for epilepsy. & what can this be doing to my body ## Hello, Kim!
