Gabapentin Side Effects Rapid Pulse (Page 3)

Can Gabapentin cause a rapid pulse? Usually my pulse is 60-70 at rest, now it's up to 85-105 at rest.

I started taking 100mg gabapentin at night for one week than started two a day. On the second day if 200mg my defibrillator went off

Burn relief that works for me from PHN / Shingles ..... mix some Eucerin skin calming creme w/ a few drops of Geranium Oil in a spoon with finger , after mixing apply it to skin / burn area . I apply it on my scalp too , itch / burn relief , enables me to sleep , gabapentin went into toilet .

I am also taking gabapentin 600 mg three times a day and my heart rate is normally 100, and now it's running in the 135 and 140 and I'm seriously thinking about not taking it anymore .

That is exactly like me but the banging in my head was so bad I woke up thinking someone was knocking at the door. I sat up in bed and listened thinking who can be knocking at the door at this time..then I realized it was in my head. I was so scared I stopped them immediately. Never again. I was worse with them!

Taking tab. Just 1 at night. For 4 nights 300mg.....this morning rapid heart beats. Thou taking heart atttack. Right leg went asleep. As I was driving. Taking no more. Don't feel good about this. Bobby ny

I have upper nerve pain from diagnosed PHN post herpetic neuralgia from shingles , my 4th. YEAR now , last night @ apprx. 2:20 a.m. I was woken from sound sleep ( not surpising ) w/ pain etc. , went through usual routine :
1.apply Ice Cold Gel Pak on area
2.mix some Eucerin skin calming creme w/ a drop of Geranium Oil ( found @ Health Food Store in my area , any brand ) as usual within 5 - 10 minutes relief and back to sleep .
3. I suggest you give it a try , if skeptical as 99% of peoples seem to be these days try a tiny bit you'll see
4. I've tried posting this countless times and get / got Zero replies
5. It's like talking to a shoe , more like I'm wasting my time and won't comment any more , it's your pain not mine , I've tried helping enough . Good Luck

After reading countless comments, replies etc. I've yet to ever come across the subject of water or hydration and itching. I suggest some with that chronic itch, try drinking an adequate amount of water on a daily basis. In all likelihood after 72 hours you might see a difference along with feeling one as well. When is the last time a dr. Ever asked you or brought up the subject of hydration and dehydration as side effects? Do you think they make certain they drink enough? Skin care manufacturers certainly won't ever mention the subject of drinking enough water - $$$$$$ know what I mean? No itch = no appt. Needed $$$$$ for the purpose of purchasing skin care products, try it you'll see, so be sure to drink up!

What you experienced is a withdrawal of gabapebten effect. Did you try and stop, or take less.

I took Lyrica for burning mouth syndrome—did not help. Since I have Pernicious anemia—I took injectable B12. This helped tremendously. I was informed by a Dr. From a medical center that burning mouth syndrome was a small nerve fiber abnormality. do research on small nerve fiber neuropathy.

had an outbreak of shingles over 4 years ago , v1 branch trigeminal nerve , above eye left eye , forehead , radiating to top of head , itch , burn , sting , stab like nerve impulse sporadic sensations of varying severity , severe at times , tried countless methods , skin creams , lidoderm lidocaine patches 12 on 12 off ( expensive ) , Salonpas roll on Lidocaine OTC , well worth it , suggest trying , as of late been using combination mixture of coconut oil & geranium oil 3x1 ratio , that I mix in a glass and simply apply necessary amount thoroughly onto affected area and that is determined by irregular nerve imulse sensations , in most cases that is soothed within tewnty minutes . Well worth the effort , after four years I'm satisfied .

Gabapentin has helped my nerve pain a lot in my spine I really don't have to take a pain pill like I was tramadol so that's great I was in so much pain didn't know what I was going to do

I have an aweful taste in my mouth since i started taking it a month ago.and the tip of my tongue feels funny .it feels like i have thrush and every thing i eat tastes gross.the taste is bitter

My husband has been taking Gabapentin 300 mgs 3 times a day since his lung cancer surgery a week ago. This medication has made him extremely hyperactive, his heart rate is 100+, and he is not sleeping. He is in the process of coming off of it and already having favorable results. These side effects should definitely be reported to the manufacturer.
