Frustrated And Tired Of Tired

I suppose I am in the first stages of figuring out what causes me to be tired all the time. I am frustrated, and memories are flooding in of the onset of my tiredness. I remember falling asleep in every class in 9th grade at the age of 14. I always assumed my tiredness was from one reason or another. With that said, recently I have been back and forth to the doctor for four months now. This last time he prescribed Nuvigil, and wants to order a sleep study. I was so excited at the prospect of feeling awake, and to my dismay I have not felt anything good. Headaches mainly, tired, anxiety, emotional, spaciness, and even on 200mg took a 2 hour nap. Blah! Been on 150mg dose still tired and don't feel as much anxiety and spaciness. It has only been a week, maybe I am giving up to fast. I don't know what it means that the nuvigil didn't work. I read where they give it to fighter pilots to make them more alert. Why isn't it working, and I wonder what my pdoc is going to do next. Any feedback would be great!

Well, just like any other medication, it can take several weeks for it to reach its full efficacy in the body, so it will take that long before you know how much it is going to help you.

However, not all medications work for everyone that tries them, either.
