For Those Of You Who Have Been Using Lyrica For Some Time
UpdatedFor those of you that have been on Lyrica for some time, have you seen your glucose level elevated?

Hello, Tina! How are you?
This actually happens frequently with anticonvulsant medications and most doctors will check someone's levels regularly to monitor them. Some people develop diabetes and some people just experience an elevation while they are taking it, which goes away, when they switch to a different medication. Our doctor just insisted on checking my fiances levels, when he was in for his last appointment.
Other possible side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, weight changes and mood swings.
Is there anything else I can help with?
Thank you! My primary physician was quite concerned that my glucose had shot up when it had been consistently low for years. I think he doubted me when I said I hadn't been eating sugar. I was sure the increase timed with being on the Lyrica. I appreciate your feedback! How are you so well informed?
Well, on this one, as I said, my fiancé is on one and our doctor just explained that and insisted on checked, when went in for his latest appointment. :-)
I do a lot of research and studying on medications to try to help people, but I was unaware of this, until I got engaged to someone with epilepsy.
Are there any other questions or concerns?
