Is it possible to have a severe reaction after a single dose? I had taken my first dosage with my evening meal. I went out that evening and had some wine and I became very aggressive. ## Of course it is, it's possible with any medication, just like someone can have an allergic reaction or experience side effects with just one dose. The alcohol likely contributed, because it can worsen the side effects of most medications. Do you drink frequently? If so, this may continue to be a problem, so you might have to discuss it with your doctor and try a different medication.

How does it compare to Prozak? ## Fluxotine is the generic for prozac ## As to the original post, Pliva is a manufacturer of prescription medications and they make quite a few generics, which use that logo. Thus, that isn't enough information to identify anything. What are the other markings on it? And yes, as mechelle stated Prozac is just the name brand for Fluoxetine, so the dosages would be equivalent and there is no change to the usage information and side effects. Light green with E88 imprint. other side is a darker green. This pill is shaped rectangle. Nothing special with shape. Just a normal rectangle shaped pill. ## Is this pill a capsule or a tablet? Looking up this drug, cant find it in my drug book ## You wouldn't find this, if you were looking in one that's relevant to the U.S. or Canada, it isn't a name brand that's available in either country. Can u mix tramadol 50 mg and fluoxetine 20mg together ? ## It's generally advised that the two not be taken at the same time, unless it's absolutely necessary, because it increases the risk of developing serotonin syndrome. can you get gas from the 10mg of the teva flux????? and constipation ## Those types of side effects are usually possible with most medications. How long have you been taking it? I have been taking 60mg generic Prozac for about six months. These days I'm feeling like it's not quite controlling my depression. With my doctor's permission I tried raising the dose to 80mg and it caused me to sleep straight through the entire day. Does anyone know of another antidepressant that might work with prozac but not knock me out? Paxil was wonderful but stopped working after about 3 years as well as wellbutrin and zoloft......all taken by themselves. I would appreciate your suggestions, thank you. ## If you have successfully taken Paxil before and it stopped working, there is no reason you can't try it again, as long as there has been some time in between that you've been off of it. Hi, I live in UK for 34 years and been suffering from depression and, have been taking Fluoxtine 20 twice daily for a few years now, but this days during my visit back home (IRAN) it seems it is not effective and I am constantly aggressive in a big way,,,, some one suggested I take Sodium Valproate, to stop my anger,, Is it possible and who many I can take,,,, I am very desprate, worried I get my self in big problems, like murdering some body,, some body please advise...Thanks

Had fluoxetine hcl manufactured by teva. Provider now gave fluoxetin(p) identified as "substitute for fluoxetine" and mtg is par --what's the difference? ## From what you've mentioned, the only difference is who manufactured the particular one you're taking. Recently my pharmacy began giving me a new version of fluoxetine, which I have taken for MANY years with no problems.... however the blue fluoxetine gives me horrible heart burn. I use to take them at night before bed, but couldn't sleep, so decided to start taking them in the morning and still get the heartburn. I don't take them with any other meds. I tried an empty stomach, and after eating, but the results are still the same. I also get a bad headache (I think from the heartburn.) Has anyone figured out how to avoid this problem? ## Have you tried taking some type of antacid when you take the Fluoxetine? I am sufferng from diahorrea with mucus in stool for last 2 months. Doctor prescribed Fludac 10 along with other medicines ( Metrogyl compound etc.) Does the medicine help? ## Fludac contains the active ingredient Fluoxetine, which is an SSRI antidepressant.
