Have any of you tried to order from mail order pharmacies. I have Aetna insurance, and they have an rx by mail program. I just didnt want to wast time mailing off a prescription if they were out of the drugs as well.
Thanks

I've been having trouble filling my Oxycodone 30mg prescription in Margate Florida. Walgreens is out after ten plus years of going there. Maybe PrimeMail with BCBS can help? If you know of somewhere please let me know.
I was in a bad auto accident back in boynton beach nine months ago and dislocated my L-5 & L-6 disks and started on oxycontin 40mg twice a day and dilaudin 6mg 6x a day (30s are harder to find just go to 40) and from day one i went to a CVS in Boca Raton (where i was living BUT my license showed a Delray Beach Address over 20 miles away) i had no problem. I then moved to Fort Lauderdale, still, with the same license to my local cvs. Just handed her my new script from my new pain managment doctor (just showed him past records and he put me back on everything cause i am allergic to Tylenol and ibprofin*hint*) and my oxycontin discount card from perdua pharmaceutical. They didnt have it this was on a friday so the pharmacist said come back monday when they get it in. So because my records with cvs showed me filling oxys and dilaudin before, they ordered them for me. Asked how many i need per month and said to fill it on the same day each month and they will keep it stocked. Im a 30 year old real estate agent with purple hair lol. No judgement was made. As long as u have a valid reason and records you have taken these types of meds before you should be fine now. Things have calmed down
If that doesnt help, i called up my insurance company (blue cross blue shield of fl ppo) and told them i cant fill my two scripts down here. They gave me the address to their central pharmacy. I overnighted it monday and got it back thursday morning filled with no issues. These two routes helped me through all the junkie judgement and I hope it helps some of you guys too!!
There are a few mail order pharmacies through Medicare and government insurance plans. Just know that they have a Therapy screening interview with you and your doctor over the phone before they will fill C-II scripts. They will call your DR and get the diagnosis codes. Then if they feel that your main med is correct in dosage, then they will allow Roxy 30 to be filled. So it depends on how bad your pain condition is, and if your doses are right. Meaning the main med should be 80% of your daily dose and so the BT med should be only 30% of that. They will fill it. I don't agree with this totally because many people are unique but this doesn't matter to them. Some people many be weaning down and may not have a main med. So these mail orders are for patients stable on maintainace dosing. Which may be very sad for Florida patients because there are no pharmacies that will for anything here.
If you make it past this office? They will mail you the meds. They must be signed for to be delivered. Medco is the only one I know of right now. Is there anyone else here using another place for mail order? Let us know if there is, so patients that need help to relieve their pain will have choices. FL is in a very bad crisis. We need to rid our state of the governor and attorney general we have. They made did all this in a very unbalanced way. There was a lot to think about before just jumping in and getting rid of the pill mills. Yes, that was necessary but they should have given thought to the thousands of legitimate pain patients in Florida before they acted so hastily. FL is home to millions of retired, disabled citizens and disabled VA veterans. The VA in FL is cutting off most all veterans of pain medications. A tragedy this is. Last time I checked, there were estimated 5 million pain patients here. We all need to express our concerns before the next election for governor and AG here and make sure that we vote in people with more compassion for the people. This is also a federal issue as well. So be sure to make known to the next running senators. If they ignore the issue? Let them know you won't be voting for them. They only care about the money and getting in office. Those perks will cause them to ignore us but don't give up or the state will NEVER be fixed with these problems.
I don't take this med, but have a horrible back and use a 50Fent patch with 2x 10/500 Hydros for breakthrough pain, for how long who knows? Until our Communist leaders decide I don't need them I guess (they know better than the Dr.), we have a WAY TOO BIG GOVERNMENT, and we are doing NOTHING to STOP it. Who's fault is that?
Not looking for an argument Alvin, but Aetna used to fill my 3 month supply of 40mg Oxycontin, no problem..just saying
There is no "shortage". There never was. The DEA is threatening to take away pharmacists licenses if they fill too many rx's for schedule 2 drugs or if they fill for "illegitimate" physicians. Ridiculous. ALL physicians who are licensed to prescribe those drugs are legitimate! And as far as ordering through the mail, it seems most legit pharmacies do not ship schedule 2.
No they dont fill controlled substances. I work with aetnas pharmacy
Hey did u ever?r try sending them out
Did u read what Kevin said about mail ordering Roxy?????? He said don't!!!!
so do you have aetna health insurance and did they mail you your oxy 30s?
So, the Aetena insurance is still working for mail order for the Roxy's? How much do they charge for individiual prescription mail service?
Also, find out from your insurance company if you have a prescription mail order benefit on your policy. I could not get my meds from any pharmacy in FL (10 year CPP, same Dr., same pharmacy). I pay $985 mo. to BC/BS - only to find out I do NOT have a prescription mail order benefit and cannot get it added to my policy. Good luck!
When sending your scripts into your Insurances Mail order pharmacy - 1st Call them and ask if they are in stock
2ndly ASK for their PHYSICAL address to send in narcotic scripts not the PO Box.
3rd when sending in your scripts either pay the 5.95 for express mail or AT LEAST pay the 2.00 for signature required. This way you at least have a persons name that signed for them. Express mail you can actually track your letter. Also be aware that you have the OPTION to ask for EXPEDITE you prescription - It will cost you $18-$20 but you will get it next day and its delivered to YOU with a signature required - not just put in your mailbox or sat at your front door. YES believe it or not the mail-in pharmacy just sends regular mail or ups and they just leave it at your door.
My 1st time I freaked !!!! I opened the door to take the dogs out & there it was just sitting on the porch pharmacy label right on the box... I about had heart failure. I immediately called the pharmacy and said "Do you KNOW what you are just LEAVING on my doorstep?" Totally clueless & said if I wanted a "signature required" for my meds that I would have to pay extra for the shipping.,
So just be aware of all the "little" details that your mail order requires -
I have Aetna Insurance as well and I tried the mail order. Do not wast your time, they filled all my orders except for Roxicodone. They really jerked me around, it was the pharmacy did would not fill the order. Good Luck. Let me know of you are succesful.
Call and ask them.
