It means that you can take it a maximum of 3 times a day, 8 hours apart, if you need if that much. This is a muscle relaxant, so it isn't like an antibiotic where you have to make sure you take it that many times a day, you can take it less if you don't need it, but you should make sure you don't exceed 3 times a day.
