Looking for a good pain Doctor that will prescribe Oxycodone. Its so hard working two jobs with no insurance, and trying to go to school as well to get my degree. I work for a moving company and install computers all day long. Always in pain Looking for A GOOD PAIN DOCTOR!!! WHO WILL PRESCRIBE OXYCODONE!! PLEASE HELP Preferably in the Northern Virginia AREA!!!

Hello I have been in pain management for 10 years due to not wanting surgery and fussion done. I know two people who have had back surgery and did not have good results. I was seeing dr. Phillips for 8 plus years. He was a great uunderstanding doctor and with his help managing my pain i was able to work. I am a mechanic and the pain is unbearable and has greatly affected my job causing me to resign due to it. I have a family to support and am about to loose everything. I feel like i am going crazy and everyone is so quick to judge because I need meds to function and work. If anyone could please help I would be so grateful. I need to find a doctor in the Hampton Newport News area. Thank you in advance!

Call the AMA!! Also, I just posted on this site info on spinal cord stimulators and pain pumps under the heading "Chronic Pain Sufferers". I would also be concerned about having to be so heavily medicated to go to work. (not criticizing, I was taking 80 mlg. Oxycontin 2 X a day, and Carisoprodol. I WAS a COP. I was forced to retire after 25 years by my Type 2 Diabetes.) Although you have developed a tolerance to your current dose, they are still having the sedatative effects on your body. ESPECIALLY with the Carisoprodol. That stuff is evil. As you probably have noticed, sometimes it seems to have no effect, then sometimes it will knock you on your butt.You are just used to your dose, and you have adjusted mentally to it so you feel "normal" and may not notice it until it's to late. DWI, AUTO ACCIDENT, ETC. I also realize what it's like to have to be medicated to just get out of bed. But that's no way to live. Look up a Company called MEDTRONICS for the stimulator or the pain pump. Good luck.

I just lost my PM doctor due to unexpected passing and I have been seeing him for 8 + years and i have gone on several sites looking for a new PM and as I read it looks as if there are several people in the same situation as me....It is so unfortunate that all the "drug seekers" have made life impossible for those of us in true chronic pain.....They have made a quality life become basically impossible ...I have gone through every procedure/diagnostic ie: nerve blocks, therapies, stimulators, u name it .....but the medication treatment my doctor had me on I was so greatful because finally I was on something that made a quality of life being able to enjoy my children and grandchildren work a full time job and be productive to now barely being able to move just to do what is needed to live......and can not find anyone who can help....and DEA has made it so that we look like drug seekers cause I know what works for me and there is no need to waste a doctors time. If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated....I am in Maryland and my medication treatment included Lyrica, oxycodone 30mg 4xs daily and oxycodone ER 40 mg 2 xs daily

I am now 20 days free of oxy, also refused suboxone. Feel pretty good!!!!!!!

The odds of anyone giving you "THE TRUE 411" on docs rx'ing those meds are about as likely as the Washington Redskins going undefeated and winning the super bowl next year with there gutsy quarterback, lol which IS NOT VERY LIKELY TO HAPPEN. No one gives up that information out of the goodness of their heart, as they know eventually that doc will no longer write for anyone without a valid DEA license. SORRY THAT'S JUST THE REALITY OF PAIN CARE IN 2017. As enraging as it is no one is going to change that especially under the next president's administration. FACT!!!

I really do feel for you. My husband has a rare condition with no cure. The only treatment has been opiates and meds to control spasms. Because of recent changes, his doctor of 14 years won't be able to write his RX's. I've contacted 50-100 places that call themselves Pain Management and it's been an exercise in futility. One doctor's suggestion was for him to go in a residential rehab. So they put him through that misery, makes his pain unbearable, and he ends up in a rubber room. Now that sounds like a dandy solution!! I would be happy to let you know if we find someone that might help you if you would do the same. Good luck to you.

Hi. I have scoliosis, fibromyalgia, dysplasia in left hip with stares. My life is no good at this point. I am depressed from constant pain and the way my life has been affected. Would you please share with me a Doctor who will offer me relief?

They are good with working with you to provide support for what you need. Call them. First visit is long but you'll leave with what you need to help you feel better. They also have physical therapy, counseling and many other options to accompany any meds you may have to take.

Then you are much better off for that in the VA area. I was in MD and it was very difficult to find the medications I was on there. I had to go to a speciality pharmacy.

Anyway, back to the subject, since I am not familiar with that area, I can look up some pain management places for you, if you can post back with a few nearby city/town names. I'm not familiar with much of VA and moved away from the East coast several years ago.

I know there are some excellent ones in the Rockville area of MD, but that would be quite a ways for you to travel.

I just moved to so cal from northern cal am a masters student with a 4.0 but have chronic pain issues despite my drs report hx and list of failed non narcotic prescriptions cant find a dr here have fibro interstitial cystitis referred to rheum who says im crazy referred to casa colima pain mgmt they dont treat my conditions any help out there Ive got recent blood work only saw 1 dr for years and a neurologist urologist for ckups why do they treat me like a drug addict here The state of Ca disabled me from my profession and is retraining me helping me to get a msw And im crazy.
Anyone know of any decent drs My case has followed the american pain journals protocol and extended release opiates were used as a last resort have very little breakthru pain can sleep and function HELP

I saw Pathak too and he shut me down with no warning. I have pancreatitis and cant find a new doctor. Have you found anyone? Please pass on any info.

Hey, i got a serious question. I live in PA, and i just happened to find a clinic in the michigan area with a good doctor. so my question is if i go to michigan and get a script for pain meds, how would i go about filling the script. being from PA, do i even have a chance of any pharamacys in the area filling it. I know i have a less chance if i bring the script back to PA because no one will fill it if its out of state. can someone give me some helpful insight on what i should do so i dont waste a drive and money. please help.

Hi, so has anyone found a good dct who will write for oxycodone anywhere in the area: eastern panhandle WV, MD, VA, or even PA near MD, or DC?? They're all drivable but the big ones don't take my insurance or will not see me w/out recent records and my dct closed his practice so I'm still waiting on them by mail! A cash dct will work, I hear they have some still but no name or #. Please help me out w/ any info bc I can't afford ER bills anymore and my injuries are life long even w/ surgery.
