Whereabouts in Indiana are you looking? I may be able to point you in the right direction, as there are quite a few doctors/clinics there that are known to prescribe Methadone.

it really dosent matter, but I live close to jeffersonville and Id like to find a doc within 50 miles if possible. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I am also looking for a new PM Dr., or someone not afraid to prescribe pain meds. If you find someone, or have found someone, please email me {edited for privacy}

I am looking for a doctor in the South Bend or Mishawaka Indiana area who will prescribe methadone for chronic pain. I have no insurance & can't afford to be running around looking for a referal to see a doctor.

Hello All... As sad as it is I think we are alll in similar situations. I have multiple issues ( Fibro.. Lupus... Degenerat disk... Severe arthritis.. Blood disorder) and the dr's just want to refer you to another and add scripts that are not nessecary. I would like to be able live a somewhat productive life and be an asset to society however I cannot find a dr now after making the mistake of moving and thinking my family dr would treat me and help me find the right dr's when nessecary and he is just as bad. If anyone had found any information would be so appreciated! And good luck to you all as well:)

You wont find any dr. Anymore in Indiana that will prescribe methadone. You wont even find a pain clinic that will for a new patient. I no 2 pain clinic that still write methadone for patients thst have been going there for many years. But for new patients they will tell you yhey dont prescribe methadone. That if you want methadone they tell you to go to methadone clinic very rudly. They think everyone on methadone is a H addict. Cause that is one big reason they give methadone at addiction clinic to get off ok f H. I had a dr. For 12 years writing me methadone for pain till 2 months ago he sent letters to all his patients on methadone saying he will not write at any dose due to 2014 new prescribing laws. I wish you the best and sincerely hope u can find someone to write it. Cause now I go to methadone clinic and it is the most awful place in the world. You will wait in line for hours. Pay $15 a day no matter what dose your own and you havr to go everyday 365 days a year even every holiday including christmas. And tge nurses and councilors treat you like s***. and u have to pick a dose time that is the same time you will have to go everyday even if you have an emergency and come earlier or later they will charge you an extra $10. So good luck hope everything works out for you.

I was on methadone 10mg tablets for about 3 years for pain. Lots of pain, plus it's cheap and last 24-36 hours. And helps with nerve damage. Was making good money as union carpenter. But Doctor retired and haven't been on since May 2015. I live in Lake County, Indiana and close to Demotte, IN as well. I've been on ms contin and fentanyl, till my doc. lost his license. I found a new one but he says he needed to see me every 2 to 3 months. His front office scheduled me and now just cut me off until next month; says the dea will shut him down. Not my fault the front office screwed up. I am fed up. Any assistance on finding a good pain management doctor in northwest indiana would be helpful. I was in a head-on collision in 09 so im not an addict, just in pain every day.

I don’t understand how or why it’s so hard to find a Methadone clinic? I live in Toronto Canada and just off the top of my head I know of 10. I don’t take Methadone for pain either cause it wouldn’t help me. I’m on Methadone cause I needed to get off pain meds and it worked 100% for me. Anyone who has been on pain killers knows you will start withdrawing the next day if you don’t get that opioid into your body. Put Methadone into your body instead cause it works. It's just like taking a painkiller but you won’t feel high at all. It takes the withdrawals away from you. Trust me. But if your looking for a painkiller high, then no point being on Methadone. Methadone doesn’t give you a high feeling like pain meds. It just makes you feel better so you won’t withdrawal. If you want off pain meds start using Methadone. It helps you so much. If you want your painkiller high feeling, then you are going to go nuts trying to find it every day and find the money for the pill. You want off the pain killers, take Methadone, no more withdrawals or worrying about how are you going to get your next pill every day you wake up. Change your life and take Methadone. Don’t expect to feel high from it though. It’s not like that at all. Good luck. Changed my life for the good.

I am looking for an Evansville, Indiana doctor that writes methadone for pain. I have many health issues including rheumatoid arthritis that causes severe pain and I know methadone treats pain well and lasts longer than most other things for real pain.

Was your doctor ranochak? I am dealing with the same thing, I was a great patient, never failed drug screens, never caused him problems. And my pharmacist called me 3 days before I was due to tell me about the news he read in the paper. Like wtf!!! I called doc and he was like "they threw me in jail and sorry but I can't write any scripts so I don't know what to tell u."

I am shocked this happened bc in the 3 yrs I went he was super strict and now I'm seeing why. Also he didn't accept insurance so now it's all making sense. I am now at a clinic and it is draining my bank account. I have legit pain lupus, fibromyalgia, hip dysphasia, and interstitial cystitis. I need help finding a pain clinic. I called one in Kokomo and they told me they don't write for methadone. Which is a lie because I know I've heard ppl at the clinic talking about it cause they got kicked out for failing a urinalysis. I know they are strict, one positive you're out. Which is 110% fine with me. I only take methadone and have only taken it for 4 yrs straight. Someone please help, this isn't fair to the non addicts and when you go to a new clinic it's as if your shunned for something your doc did not having anything to do with you. What to do?
