I asked you before, what are these new laws? Are these new State laws? What are the new prescribing limits from the General Practitioner? Xanax has not been re classified or scheduled in our Country. Do you have any links available? Sure some States are getting tough with Pills but what are the new guidelines?

Dee, I'm not sure M.D.s get it either? I would like to someday get off of the Alprazolam. Xanax is the worst in its class for withdrawals. Those of us who have been through it know this!

Do you wake up every morning with PTSD and have an upset stomach? Your brain is so overexcited that you cannot function to get ready for school or work most of your life?

If you call this facing your fears as a psychiatrist, think about being raped as a child by your stepfather until you are old enough to leave the house. How about a mother who's too afraid of her own husband to do anything because he threatens her???

Unfortunately, my doctor of 11 years has retired, due to health concerns. But, he was prescribing me 90 Xanax per month. Now i can't find any doctors that are willing to prescribe this med. If you know any specifically in North Tampa area, please reply. Thank you.

In most cases, due to the new laws that went into effect at the beginning of the year, if you require it for long-term treatment, you'll be required to see a specialist, such as a Psychiatrist.

Except for in certain rare cases, severe restrictions are being placed on how long general practitioners can prescribe such medications.

Have you taken it before via a doctor's prescription?

Do you have a doctor that you see regularly that may be able to refer you somewhere?

My doctor has me on 4 mg of xanax a day, and discharged me bc of the relationship I had w his staff. They lied and said they would take my insurance, bcbs of florida ppo, select plan. Now I'm trying to find a new dr to get me off these xanax, after 5 years.

Florida is a tough State these days for Xanax, one of the original problem States due to abuse. In fact much of the South is that way too. What type of relationship did you have with the staff. I have never had a Doctor say no although I was put on a limited amount by my first Florida Doctor back in 1998. He was creepy and refused Soma even then. I had a BCBS PPO and assume I would have problems finding the medicine in todays climate as well. 4 mg is a strong dose. If things get really bad get to an ER!

I want to move to Tampa fla I live in my my dr has prescribed me Xanax for 30 yrs for severe anxiety and panic I do not abuse trying to wean down need to find a dr in Tampa or palm harbor fla that will keep prescribing me my Xanax can not go cold turkey thank u

I need it for a chemical imbalance. It's the only medicine that works for my constant anxiety and panic attacks. I've been going through 5years of therapy now and even my therapist says i need it. Just hard to find some where that will prescribe them for me.

I was diagnosed with PTSD severe panic attacks and anxiety in my early twenties I'm 45 now and I have been on these regiments of drugs sense. I need a doctor that can prescribe me 2 milligrams of Xanax as well as either hydrocodone or Percocet 10 325 for blown out discs in my back and my neck and which I have an MRI to back that up. Could you please help me?

Where do you go to after you complete the figures? Finding a doc online is the hardest part, but so is having extreme anxiety/panic. Only to those who are really in need.
