Find A Doctor In Indianapolis For Xanax And Pain Pills

I need a good dr. in Indianapolis that is persistent. One that will help me control my pain, and help control my very high anxiety... Please Help!!!!!!

Hi Mike,

Personally, I think if you suffer from any sort of anxiety/depression and need a Benzodiazepine class medication (like Xanax), usually your best bet is to see a psychiatrist, rather than a regular medical doctor. Reason being, is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and can also help you treat the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression, as opposed to covering up the feelings and emotions with medication.

In regards to finding a local pain doctor, I have listed below a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results:

Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they are accepting new patients; some aren't, but most usually are.

im also new to indy and have 7 plates in my body as well as pins and metal cartilage in my foot. i have severe pain and finally could not do the walking my job required . im so close to retirement and i just need something to take the edge off the pain until i can get my retirement. ive had so much cortisone im lucky i dont have a full beard lol if anyone knows a doc that presscribes meds other than shots i would greatluy appreciate it.

I am in need of a dr thatbi can get into quickly who will prescribe pain meds without treating me like garbage. My dr switched offices and i stayed at her office..big mistake. The new dr at her office cut all of her patients off their pain med and said she was not a real dr and that she was too free with pain meds. He treated mevlike a drug addict and told me withdrawls are not real. After being on pain med for 6 years i beg to differ. I never switch docs so i have no idea where to start or how to find one that will give out pain med w/o a bunch of bs. Plz help. Thanks!

I need a Dr. who isn't afraid to prescribe medication for me because I suffer from chronic back and neck pain due to a car accident in 2006. I am tired of the shots which only help me for a short period of time. I don't want to feel or be treated like a drug addict trying to get a fix. Please help, I need to keep taking care of my severely Autistic son but I can't in this pain.

I am currently looking for a new doctor. My current doc of 8 years merged with a practice and I cannot stand their ways...not to mention I have cut off my meds due to not having ENOUGH xanax in my system when given a screening. I have been on the same meds for over 8 years and now they own't refill any of them. The only reason the xanax was not in my system, was because I recently had a baby and was trying to work my way back up to what I used to take. Can anyone help me here?? I just need a doctor that does not mind prescribing me what I've been taking for years. I am not asking for a higher strength or a stronger medication. Just someone that cares about my pain level.

Hi, Jeff, I have been taking Hydrocodone for six years I suffer from cluster headaches. I can never make plans in advance because I don't know how I will feel.
