My total cholesterol was 265 mg with LDL at 170 mg. I was prescribed fibrovas about 4 years back and still continuing it taking it on alternate days. Now my cholesterol is 171 mg with LDL at 115 mg. But my concern is its side effects taking it for long term. My age is 54 years. I have been having high cholesterol level reported now and having fluctuation lipid profile report every three months and i was taking finehart tabs on docs advise as a single dose till now, my doctor have now prescribed me to take finehart tablets of double dose every day.Does it harm in anyways to my other body functions, and what would be the side effects of this medicine. I am on fenofibrate 54 mg 1x a day and my dr wants me to increase to a larger dose. Can this be taken 2x a day until I use up my 90 day supply and then go to the next highest dose of 160mg? ## I'd suggest checking with your doctor or pharmacist, since 2 of them will still not equal the amount of the new dosage. What has your doctor advised? I have taken cholestrimine for years. Dr. prescribed fenofibrate about 3 months ago. No one told me not to take them at the same time. I already take omniprazole in the morning. Has anyone else had these symptoms? I have pain at night that feels like it could be my esophagus. I also break out in a sweat sometimes and have had horrible headaches that I thought were sinus related but it has gone on for over a month. ## Based on my research, there are interactions between these two medications. I suffer from alcoholic fatty liver. I no longer drink as of 1 month. my enzynes are now normal. my doctor percribed 160mg of fenofibrate. for high triglycerides( currently at 210) I have been taking for 9 days but am getting alittle concern. I read you should not be taking this if you have Hep B. What are the reason? I was prescribe this drug but my doctor did not inform me about not taking it if one has Hep B! Three times I started on Fenofibrate 54 mg and I stopped taking it. I knew the side effect of vertigo was possible. I want to try this drug again BUT I want to know if the vertigo side effect will lessen or subside after time. what is the side effect of stopping the intake of lipicard suddenly after taking for a few days?? does it shoot up the reduced triglyceride level?? ## If you've only been taking it for a few days, there really shouldn't be any effect to stopping it, it's barely had a chance to begin working, to be honest. Among my prescription of FENOFIBRATE 160MG tablets I noticed another tablet mixed in my prescription bottle which was larger than the other tablets. It is oblong like the regular pills but larger and the letters and numbers are RX901. What is it? ## Same thing just probably different manufacturer. ## Yes, the pharmacy might have had an extra one left over from a prior order that they needed to use up or they were one short on the old bottle when filling this prescription. ## I'm trying to find out if Phentermine 30 should be taken with or with out food? I've lost down from about 280-300 lbs and now need only to lose another 60 lbs. Any help will be considered. But please be kind. At seventy, I feel I need facts more than sarcasm or ridicule.
