Fenofibrate Side Effects On Sperm Motility? (Top voted first)

My husband got prescribed the medication - LIPIDIL (Fenofibrate) 145mg x 1 tablet daily, another medication is - SIMVAR (Simvastatin) 40mg x 1 tablet daily, mainly to lower his cholesterol level and triglycerides in the blood. My question is, because we are trying to get pregnant every month, does anybody know that the two medications above will decrease men's sperm count and sperm quality?

No, they aren't known to cause problems with sperm count and quality, but they may cause some sexual dysfunction, such as erectile dysfunction. You should both know to keep an eye out for such problems, so he can contact his doctor is they do start occurring.

Thank you very much! Maybe there's not much research report on medications that will cause problems to men's sperm count and sperm qualtiy.
