Fenofibrate And Cholestramine Combination Side Effect

I have taken cholestrimine for years. Dr. prescribed fenofibrate about 3 months ago. No one told me not to take them at the same time. I already take omniprazole in the morning. Has anyone else had these symptoms? I have pain at night that feels like it could be my esophagus. I also break out in a sweat sometimes and have had horrible headaches that I thought were sinus related but it has gone on for over a month.

Based on my research, there are interactions between these two medications. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of:

"Taking the fenofibrate and cholestyramine doses too close together may interfere with the absorption of fenofibrate and reduce its effectiveness. To prevent or minimize the interaction, fenofibrate should be taken at least 1 hour before or 4 to 6 hours after the cholestyramine dose. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor."
