False Hair Test For Methamphetamine

Hi, my bf had to take a lot of Claritin D last summer and this summer. He had to take a hair test. They said he tested positive for methamphetamine. I know for a fact he has never touched methamphetamine. So just wondering if taking c d can cause a positive to methamphetamine?

Taking Claritin should not cause a false positive for methamphetamine. One of the big advantages of hair drug testing is that it is good at differentiating substances. You could talk to an MRO (Medical Review Officer) to see what might be interfering with the test. An MRO is a doctor trained to interpret drug test results by looking at the over all picture to see what might be happening. You can find an MRO in your area at aamro.com. You could also do you own Hair 5 Drug Panel test to verify results. If the hair on you BF is 1.5 inches long it would go back 90 days.

I have not had methamphetamine in two months but today my mom had a heart attack and I took methamphetamine to calm my nerves. Will it show up on a hair partial test?

Sorry to hear about your mom. If they did a hair drug test with a 1.5 inch sample, going back 90 days, it might show up. Also I don't know what you mean by "hair partial test".
