Extreme Side Effects After Stopping Loestrin

I am 21 and I had been on Loestrin 24 fe for about a year and a half and I started getting anxiety and depression. I also had some vision problems that happened to me as well. After I realized that all my symptoms were because of the pill I immediately stopped. I have been off of it for about 6 months now and I am still struggling. I have had major anxiety and panic attacks and I have also had huge mood swings, foggy thinking and extreme irritability. I have no idea what is going on but these pills have really messed me up. Has anyone else had these problems? I just want to feel better and any advice would be really great. Thanks.

I'm 21 and started taking this bc in January and sense then I have also developed anxiety! I also have not had a period since March 8 and I'm not pergnant! When I talked to my dr/nurse about it they acted like it was totally normal! Maybe the bc is what has cause my anxiety also!

Becca, those are very unusual side effects for an oral contraceptive, though they have been known to occur in a very low number of people, due to the fact that it does use hormones to prevent pregnancy.

And Mo, yes skipping your menstrual cycle can be perfectly normal, while you are taking them.

Have either of your respective doctors done any other checking to ascertain whether or not it is the pill, or something else that's causing your issues?

I have used L FE20 for about 2 yrs experienced depression but also due to life. My nerves have bothered me and and felt off since stopping them so I can relate.

Hello Girls. I literally just stopped the pill and I am nauseous and shaky. My anxiety is horrible. I never want to be on this pill again
