UpdatedIs it safe to take a halcion if it's been expired for 20 years?

Hello, Michelle! How are you?
No, any medication that is that old should be disposed of, medications lose efficacy over time, because they degrade and there is a chance that one that is this old could make you ill, if you take it.
The FDA lists Halcion as containing Triazolam, which is a benzodiazepine. They are most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. They carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.
Is there anything else I can help with?
