Back in December 2013 I had a bad heart attack and had to be put on Xarelto because I had blood clots in the lower region of the heart. The left side of my back gets pains when I stand up for an hour or more and I can't get my shopping done because the pain gets bad and weakens my back and legs. Can this drug be what is causing this? I also get a nasty taste in my mouth when I am in bed and my urine is discolored and has a foul odor. There is no blood anywhere.

Yes, it could be due to the Xarelto. The FDA does list it as being known to cause such side effects, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, and headache.
Has there been any change?
You might need to speak to your doctor about trying a different medication. This might not be the right one for you.
Are you on any other medications?
