Estratest Generic On Indefinite Back Order!

Could this mean it may no longer be produced? I had a complete hysterectomy in 2000 and nothing else has worked for me! HELP!

The amount of methyl testosterone inn Estratest HS is 1.25 mgs. The problem is once again ignorant greedy pharmaceutical companies confusing anabolic steroid abuse with clear indication for a medication for postmenopausal women!

I was able to use an RX Savings Card and get estratest for 19.97 at walmart. It was going to be 101.00 and 287.00 at my local small town family owned pharmacy. Show them at the pharmacy and they apply it when you have the script filled. I was overjoyed.

I just went on SS and none of the Prescription Drug programs authorized by SS will cover my prescription for Estratest or estrafied testosterone....I'm wondering if any of these substitutions people are using are effective...without insurance it is very expensive...$102 at Walmart.

I have! Same exact problems! I got spironalactone for acne and stayed with the hormone. Do you buy estratest?! I wish I could find it!

I've been using covaryx for about a year since my pharmacist stopped selling estratest. It doesn't work quite as well, but does keep the hot flashes at bay...although sometimes not quite as effectively.

I went to CVS here in Arkansas and they have the Amneal Green Estratest. I enquired how much it would be without INSURANCE and they quoted me around $38 for a months supply. That would be the half-strength. Good luck.l.

So I will share with you what I do. Even the half strength was getting too much for my system. I was holding fluid. My socks left in prints in my ankles, etc.
So I take the half strength pill and cut it in half. Take it the same time every morning after breakfast. I don't have hot flashes and feel physically fine. I do admit my energy level decreased just a little. But I do very well now on cutting the half strength pill in half. Going for days without it must be horrid. Please try my system before u give up. Hugs.

I had been using Estratest 0.625 for several years and was feeling, "normal" again. The generic made my face is cystic type acne and facial and body hair. My doctor switched me to covaryx hs and I feel great but I look horrible. My clear complexion I once had is gone. I'm having to take Orencia and use cream as well to try to keep the break outs under control. Facial and neck hair problem is horrible. I quit taking covaryx hs four days ago and my face is clearing up and facial hair growth is getting better. However, I feel horrible. I'm depressed, have trouble concentrating, vaginal dryness, lizard skin and no libido. Has anyone else experienced the same problems? I have an appointment with my doctor next week.

I just went to Sam's Club and 3 months supply went from $93 to $289. They told me only one supplier and they do not know why the price keeps changing. This is so sad that no one can help.. Live in Pa.

Oh wow. Have you tried any free discount coupons for prescriptions that YOU print and take to your pharmacy? I certainly would call every local pharmacy to make sure that price increase is for REAL. It's awful.

Hello all, I just went to purchase my estratest and found that the price had gone up 450 % !!!!!!! It is a war on women! I called the two manufacturer AMNEAL and ANI and they were so rude and told me that they had nothing to do with this increase, which they think I am stupid, because the only reason that the distributor would increase that much would be because of the manufacturer! From $79 for three months to $356 for three months. Does anyone know who the distributors are? I am going to take this to the news. It is not right and I am sure it was due to OBAMA CARE

THANK YOU very much. I identified the pill to be from ANI Pharmaceuticals. Looks current. Colors are light green and dark green and same amount as the original. THANKS AGAIN...

Just to let you know, the number on the pill #1507 is from a different manufacturer other than Solvay. My Walgreens store told me they did not buy jfrom the manufacturer any more, but bought from the company that makes #1507 pil..which is estratrace.

Generic Specialties used to make-it and still does. They are available at Walgreens and CVS all over... in -2- strengths as under:

Esterified Estrogens/Methyltestosterone 0.625mg/1.25mg tablets – 100ct bottles
• Esterified Estrogens/Methyltestosterone 1.25mg/2.50mg tablets – 100ct bottles

Hi sha sha. You certainly should not be feeling so awful. I am not an expert. But you can google the description, color, and strength of your pill. I hope others can help you out with this. This is a far fetch. But maybe it is an expired "batch"??? In my case, if the strength is too strong I eat like a horse and get hyper.. So taking a lighter dose levels me out. I was only crying when I wasn't on anything! Best of luck. Hugs.

Well, I'm new to this, but had to jump in and tell my story and find out the current status...I started taking the "real" Estratest" when it first came on the market. it was a mental life saver, and I mean that seriously. When the brand went away, I was switched to the Amneal product. I could tell it did not work the same, had my levels checked by my Gyn and sure enough, had to go on an additional estrogen source (Amneal and another estrogen (also another story of frustration and changing manufacturers)). Last week when I had my script filled it was a dark green, still says Estrgn Methtest 1.25/2.5, but it is NOT the same. I am back to feeling like I want to cry for no reason. The pharmacist says the Amneal product is on "backorder".
I will call tomorrow to find out the current manufacturer and I guess start the call around to try to locate Amneal. Can't stand the way I'm feeling.
I would appreciate any current news of where things stand...
