Estradiol After Hysterectomy (partial To Full)

I am a 41 y/o woman who has had a complete hysterectomy. I am currently taking Estradiol in a low dosage (small pink pill) and have only been taking it for about 3 weeks now. I still don't feel right. I feel like mentally, I'm cloudy and not able to focus. I have been having some trouble sleeping recently too. Also, I'm irritable, and have been having hot flashes something bad. My question is, do you think I would benefit from having the dosage raised a little, or should I wait and see another week. I am also having symptoms similar to an anxiety attack, pretty regularly. Please tell me if I should try another form of estrogen, or wait and see how this will go.

I am very sorry about what you're experiencing.

You should have yourself checked out, you may need a dosage adjustment, or you may do better with a different form of the hormone. Sometimes, it just takes some time to find the right dosage or form that works for you.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this hormone as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms.

Is there anything else I can help with?
