Essential Hypertension In Diabetic Type Two Patients
UpdatedI am a diabetic patient (type two). Due to essential hypertension around 150/92, my Dr prescribed telmisartan 20. My pulse rates elevated to 114 and 88 in the morning. I was feeling fatigued, mental confusion, blurred vision within 4 weeks of medication. I was changed over to Nebi 2.5 and dramatically my bp has come down to 110/70 average with pulse around 70-78 per minute. Since I am diabetic and also taking glimperide 2 in the morning and fenofibrate 145 at evening with metformin 500 at night, will Nebi 2.5 worsen my blood sugar control, which is just now around 110-125 on fasting? Will nebivolol will be suitable for long term therapy to a patient like me who is a patient of type two diabetes for 15 years? My high BP has been diagnosed recently, just two months back. Due to severe high pulse rates I don't want to take telmisartan. If you have a better suggestion than nebi 2.5 I will be obliged. My age is 47 years and I am a male.
