Esperide Side Effects

I am suffering from premature ventricular beats as well as premature atrial beats. Also getting short chest pains, This happens all day on and off and is definitely exercise induced. Cardiologist keeps on saying nothing to worry about. I lost my husband 4 months ago and have been on Esperide for about 6 months. I have suffered from arrythmias before when not on Esperide but nothing half as bad as at present. Could this be drug induced? I also take Zanor SR

Esperide contains the active ingredient Sulpiride, it is actually a type of antipsychotic used to treat Schizophrenia and major depressive disorder and yes, it has been known to cause heart rhythm problems, in some people.

Have you consulted the prescribing doctor? It probably isn't the right medication for you to use and you may need to switch to something else.

Aziza, yes, those are normal side effects of the medication, which should taper off after approximately 4 weeks, when your body has adjusted to the medication.

If they don't or are very severe, you should consult your doctor.

is the action gram for gram the same for eglonyl as for espiride,they have discontinued eglonyl,and i am worried that i will experience different side effects on espirite,been taking eglonyl for 20 years.
