Epitec 25mg

Alcohol with epitec: I take 25mg Epitec twice daily. Can I consume a glass of wine on special occasions although I am taking Epitec?

Drinking alcohol while taking Epitec is not recommended. This medication is reported to contain the active ingredient Lamotrigine, which acts as a central nervous system depressant (as does alcohol). If you really did want a glass of wine then it is highly recommended that you check with your prescribing physician first since they are familiar with your full medical history. While it may be okay to drink a single glass of wine (moderation), it is best not to take a chance without knowing if you are specifically at risk for an interaction.
