small oval with more of a pointy end on the oval, white pill with G60 on one side and 200 on the other ## I found one pill, small white oval with G60 on one side and 200 on the other. My husband has acid reflux, and it is in a container with my lactase tablets. I probaly should discard it, but I am curious as to what it is for. Thank you. ## Sorry, this isn't listed in the drug databases, so I can only assume it is something over the counter. ## I have one of these, too, and I cannot find what it might be. I don't believe it's ibuprofen, as one person said. I found it in a small unmarked bottle that also contained a 2 mg Valium, so I'm thinking it might be something similar.

I suffer from pancreatitus. I take hydrocodone 15mg. I wanted to know the affects if any this medicine could have on the liver or the pancreas? I have extremely bad pain under my right rib cage after every meal. The pain lasts anywhere from on hour to days. The doctors can't find out what is going on with me. Any suggestions??? ## Well, something you definitely want to do is take only as directed. Some things you also want to stay on top of seriously, you need to stay very hydrated. It's would be best to over-hydrate because this medication does produce toxins in your body. It can be a very constipating drug as well. Possibly adding a stool softener would benefit you if your Dr agrees. If you let the toxicity of this medication build up in your body, that is when you get the mos...

Gdc With The G Wrapping around the dc And It Says 105 to the right of the GDC. ## I can't find a listing for this exact marking, I am sure it's because this company makes over the counter products and they are therefore not required to log the imprints with the FDA. They make several different items that are sold as generics or store brands for products such as Tum and Pepto Bismol tablets. Does anyone else recognize this? ## I also cannot find any info on this specific pill. Any info about this white oblong pill with imprint GDC 105 is needed. ## i have the same pill. could it be a dairy relief pill like generic lactaid? ## Yes the pill is a lactase enzyme pill...generic version, mine were from CVS.

How does Trypsin Bromelain Rutoside treat dental infections & inflammation? Is it useful for dental infections & Inflammation? Please tell me. I am a Medical Representative. Thanks. ## Hello, Suarajit! How are you? It is sometimes useful in treating inflammation/swelling, since the ingredients are enzymes that can combat the issues causing it. However, it will not help an infection. That requires an antibiotic to eradicate. The U.S. FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. And, though someone may take both to help with such a problem, they will still need to see a dentist to have the problem that's caused the infection treated/corrected, or it will keep recurring. Is there anything else I can...

I went to pick up my husband's pancrelipase and the pharmacy said it was discontinued by the manufacturer. Is this true? I know it is a generic for pancrease but it's more expensive and he is a pancreatic cancer survivor and has to take these for life. Can you please tell me if this is true? ## From the information I am finding, yes, this product has been discontinued, but no reason has been given for why this was done. The only thing I can suggest is talking to the pharmacist or contacting his doctor for an alternative. I have no idea what they prices are, but there are a few other brands on the market that contain the same ingredient, such as: Cotazym, Creon, Lipram, Ultrase, Zymase and several others. Please post back and let us know if you find something. ## Most of these pr...

what is main action of rutoheal d tablet? In which conditions it can be use? ## Hello, Based on my research, the medication Rotoheal contains a mixture of Enzymes (Rutoside, Bromelain and Trypsin) that are believed to help with inflammation. The combination of Trypsin, Bromelain, and Rutin can also be used in the treatment of Osteoarthritis. Trypsin is an enzyme; which is a protein that speeds up a specific biochemical reaction. Trypsin is found in the small intestine but can also be made from fungus, plants, and bacteria. Trypsin is commonly made for commercial purposes from the pancreas of livestock. T Bromelain is an extract derived from the stems of pineapples, although it exists in all parts of the fresh plant and fruit, which has many uses. The extract has a history of folk and mod...

Yes, all non-approved pancrelipase drug products have stopped being manufactured and being sold to wholesalers and pharmacies because of FDA quality control guidelines which went into effect on April 28, 2010. Only 3 approved agents are now being sold: Creon (Abbott), Zenpep (Eurand) and Pancreaze (Ortho-McNeil Pediatrics). Older products will eventually be out of stock at the pharmacies as supplies run out and not being replaced with new product. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for help, or view the 3 approved products websites, which are the drugname.com or companyname.com. Hope this helps. ## This is correct, they have forced many companies to stop selling unapproved products until they are submitted for testing. This has created a shortage of some products. ## You appear very knowledg...

I have been feeling a lot of bloating, gas/acid reflux. Not really sure if it has something to do with my diet. I used the eat the usual food I take healthy and fast food. Then one day, the stomach attack I experienced was not bearable so I had to go to my gastroenterologist. I was given PPI's to somehow help with the pain and was advised that if I still feel something after taking it for a week, I'll be scheduled for a colonoscopy. I was also told to have a strict diet. So to make the long story short, everything went well after a week so I when I gave my doctor another visit, luckily I didn't go through colonoscopy. Was given the same advise but this time without PPI's. I was also advised to take enzymes. I'm taking digestive enzymes from Natural Goal for about a mont

I've read and had a dozen pharmacology courses, but this was over 20 years ago. What is the deal with drinking grapefruit juice combined with benzos (such as xanex)? I have heard and read various reports. Can someone give me the straight info? ## Hello, Suzie! How are you? Grapefruit juice can have an affect on the liver and change how it processes some medications, specifically the ones that are processed and affect by the same enzymes. To simplify things, when it comes to benzodiazepines, it tends to increase their bioavailability, which could cause overdose. These medications carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. What substitute can I use for pankreoflat, please help!! ## Have you talked to your doctor or pharmacist about finding a substitute you can use? The active ingredient in it was Pancreatin, so what you'd really need to look for is another medication that contains it in the same dosage. ## I need tab. pankreoflat. doctor prescribed to me. At present I am in Malaysia. I am not getting here. So I need equivalent alternative tab ## Prakash I am seeing that Pancreatin supplements seem to be available over the counter from a number of places on the internet. Neither this site or webmd has an answer. ## This is an over the counter item, which is why most sites will not have information on it. It is a lactase enzyme for those who are lactose intolerant. ## Oh - Thanks - I appreciate the information. I use to get energy using coconut oil capsules. My second bottle had a broken capsule in it and the oily inside got over the capsules in the bottle. Would this make it less effective? ## Hi Brenda, I enjoy using coconut oil for several purposes as well, including energy and various medicinal applications. Raw coconut oil is the best in my opinion since it still contains all the necessary enzymes and other beneficial factors... so as long as you're not cooking it over a certain temperature, the oil will maintain its nutritional and medicinal value whether you put it inside or outside of a capsule. The presence of a capsule should not determine the effectiveness/quality of the coconut oil. I hope this helps!
