Eliquis Satisfied Users (Page 3) (Top voted first)
UpdatedFolks who have problems are quick to get on a site like this one. I would like to hear from some folks who have not had any problems and are satisfied with the medicine. Also, what % of folks have serious side effects.
Would your doctor agree to xeralto? Might be worth switching. My issue with Eliquis is 3/4 of my once thick hair is gone.
I am having miserable side effects such as heaviness in my legs and arms and extreme fatigue from reducing the dosage from 5mg to 2.5mg of Eliquis.
Have been on eliquis for 6 months now. I am 65 and have my normal aches and pains. The cost is very high. I started doing more exercise lately and this seems to help. So far I feel this drug is somewhat safe. It seems everything I read is negative. Would like to see more positive comments out there, would make me feel better. Lastly, I don't drink or smoke.
I am transitioning from warfarin to eliquis..for 5 days due to test concerning my veins..then the evening of the test I will take my regular dose of warfarin along with a 5mg of eliquis for three days after... My question is will warfarin and eliquis cause a reaction when taking both?
I've been on Eliquis 5 months prescribed for 6 months so far no problems. My weight consistently the same no extreme gains or losses. Clots on my lungs healthy prior to was not on any medications. Had a full blood analysis nothing showed all levels were normal.
That's the point of this site, it's for helping people. Sorry if you don't find a site like this informative but a lot of us do. I am glad that you have no issues with your medication though. Keep up the good work. Your helping so many people ???
I have been on eliquis for a little over a year. My blood test and cbc came back normal, but my doctor refuses to take me off this drug! I feel like i am on LIFE SUPPORT! He says it's possible i will have a stroke. I don't know what to do? If i would have known then what i know now, i never would have never taken this drug. They didn't tell me upfront about this drug! I am beginning to believe it's all about money!! $300.00 a month.
Re: Marty (# 1)
Hi, Marty....here I go...I am an 83y/o female with a-fib & congested heart failure...and have been on Xarelto 15 mg & Multaq 400 mg for over a year. I am just fine with no problems... Can also have a 1/2 glass of wine? Good luck to you...
What are natural bloodthinners?
I have been on only a month. I think at this point the changes are small. I have had low BP 100/60, most of life, save last 10 years. In last 10 years it has been 130/80. I am back to 100/60. I have had weight gain 10 pounds in part due to 3 weeks on prednisone. At 65 maintaining 162 weight has been comfortable. Not ideal. Not pleased with 10 pounds more, hoping it levels out. I think there is more fatigue. But aware of other anticoagulants and cost, I am satisfied because these side effects really are minimal. I count myself fortunate.
I did the normal course of xeralto but I had a provoked P.E. after or due to surgery. Inwas told six months on and then I could go off.So that was the reason for XeraIto. I took vitamin E, Natto., K-2, Serrapeptese and D-3. Within a week of being off xeralto I had an Unprovoked P.E. I will be on Eliquis for life. The specialist thinks it might be genetic but they want to let my system get used to the blood thinner for a few months and don't recommend any invasive tests such as an angiogram or surgery unless absolutely necessary. White willow is supposed to be the original aspirin. But after two life threatening multiple embolisms I will stay the course life is precious.
Have you suffered any side effects from Eliquis? Several people have said they lost weight.
Had been on Elequis for a little over a year and just stopped taking it a few days ago (per my physician's directive). Did not have any side effects at all from the medication when I was on it. :)
Why did your dr take you off it? Did he prescribe another blood thinner?
What natural blood thinner are you taking? What are you on blood thinner for?
Another year....still no problems. Wish it was less expensive
I thought once on eliquis - always on eliquis - I was completely taken aback at your comment about having to be on this drug 6 months only - logically that must mean YOU DO NOT HAVE AN IRREGULAR HEART BEAT, and you only need a "blood thinner" for a limited period of time, but for what?. I'd appreciate it if you could be more specific.
Marty - it has been a very long time 2015, can you update your enthusiasm for the drug eliquis?
Eliquis is being sued for blood thinning methods that are litigious.
