I am using Meftal Forte tablets for getting relief from pain associated with piles. 1 tablet/ day. Will this create further health problems?

I am a 55 year old female suffering from stomach pain. Would Meftal Forte tablets be a good remedy for this?

Hi Liji,

Based on my research, Meftal forte contains the following active ingredients: Mefenamic Acid (500 mg) + Paracetamol (325 mg).

This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication (NSAID) used to treat pain.

This medication should only be taken as recommended. From what I can gather, the maximum recommended dosage is one tablet 3 times daily. If your friend took more than that- he/she could experience symptoms of overdose such as vomiting, nausea, stomach pain, dizziness etc..

I have read reports of this medication being unsafe, however, there is no real way to know how any medication will effect someone in the future. Your friend's risks for future health problems shouldn't be high if he/she takes a low dosage or whatever has been recommended by a doctor.

Has anyone realized that by taking this tablet for fever you are not able to sleep well? Instead you feel fresh and sleep goes away and then again the temp goes up due to improper sleep.

I was given meftal when I used to get a headache. If I hav not slept the night before it works miraculously no side effects only take one 500 mg when needed. The ENT prescribed for the headaches. God bless him.
I would also recommend it to anyone suffering.

I AM CURRENTLY 20 and been using MEFTAL FORTE FOR LONG DURATION AFTER BODY PAIN . ALSO I TAKE TWO AND TREE MEDICINE A TIME DURING
MY MENSURATION DUE TO SEVER PAIN IN MY STOMACH . IS THIS HARMFUL TO ME PLEASE LET ME KNOW .

After taking 2"meftal forte for a back pain , I started feeling nauseous and vomitted pile whole night.The next morning, I had accelerated heartbeats, palpitations and still vomitting.

Iam currently 28 and been using Meftal forte for long duration. I take one medicine at a time during my mensuration. Sometimes I take 3 tablets in 3 days is this gonna harm me. Please let me know

I am 24 yrs old and I frequently suffer from leg pain then I use meftal forte and It relieves me ASAP.
